WELL INCREDIBLY BADDAR YOUR FROM CARDIFF LOL... AND IM FROM PONTYPRIDD / TREFOREST. ABOUT 25 MINS AWAY

MACHEDA IS AIGHT AI.. SCORED A LOVELY GOAL .OBVIOUSLY HAS GOOD WORK RATE AND WANTS TO IMPRESS. HES ALSO VERY FAST
HIM AND WELBECK HAVE PLAYED FOR MAN U RESERVES AND SCORED A TON OF GOALS BETWEEN THEM APPARENTLY.

AS FOR THIS COMMENT MADE BY A GOONER
Who needs Ronaldo?!

DID U HEAR THE NOISE WAS RONALDO HIT THE BAR IN THE SEMIS OF THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE LOL

I AM BIG TIME MAN U FAN
U WERE LUCKY NOT TO CONCEDE 4 GOALS THAT NIGHT. I NO YOU AGREE
WE OUT PLAYED YOU COMPLETELY.
WE WILL DO U 1-0 AWAY OR EVEN 2-1

DONT THINK MACHEDA WILL GET A GREAT DEAL OF GAMES AT THE MOMENT. SPECIALLY WHEN WE HAVE ROONEY / TEVEZ AND BERBATOV /
SO HE WILL GET A CHANCE WHEN THESE PLAYERS ARE INJURED

I think it will be fair if we wait a little bit more in deciding his stats because we really haven't seen him much in action yet.

Yeah, i agree with you, after watched last night match in between Boro and Manu....Macheda justperform like other young player on the field e.g: a lot of mistake passes, can't protect the ball, lack of experience, week of body contact and wanna prove himself to the world....

I think Sir Alex should play him for subtitute or first team player when play in league cup clash.

dnt worry the only stat on him above 75 will be his top speed and acceleration which on its own doesnt mean anything:)

How is this thread still living?

Isn't Macheda old news by now? Just another talent that got a bit too much attention a bit too early.

You can't ignore the facts... It is tempting to call him overrated, but all he's done is score. no one can tell if he'll became a great player, or fade away quietly.

I'm just looking at a few things:

-Manchester United was not playing well during a period (losses to Liverpool and Fulham) and they were risking to lose the gap they had between themselves and Liverpool in the running for the title.
-Aston Villa had been really good this season, although their results of late has mostly been losses.
-Manchester practically NEEDED to win or Liverpool would be way to close to them.
-Macheda managed to score a winning goal in a game where Aston Villa nearly had United pinned down. Not only that, he scored it very, very late.

All this built up a huge hype. What if he had scored the winning 1-0 goal in the twentieth minute? Would it had been as awe inspiring?

I doubt it. He got lucky, managed a late goal and got on everyone's lips. Now, am I saying he doesn't have any skill? Of course not! He's probably one of the biggest talents in an English side at the moment. But does he deserve the hype he's getting?

I don't know,

I don't know,

I definitly understand you, but it's more than luck when you do it on two consecutive matches (?). Maybe I'm wrong and it was pure timing and positioning. I'm just saying that we can't know if the massive hype about him is about two lucky goals and no more, or he will turn out to be a great player like rooney turn out to be or just a floating name that will be soon forgoten.

I'm a Man U fan and to be honest... I agree with Ravex. He's got too much hype too early. Fair enough he scored two goals but the technique wasn't exactly world class was it? I'm excited to see if he carries on playing and develops into a great player, but from what I've seen of him (besides those two goals) it's not looking like Madrid will be paying millions for him anytime soon.
Having said that, he is only 17... Early days.

Just let me clarify one thing.

I'm a Liverpool fan, so by default I don't particularily LIKE Manchester United.

But, I do recognize and appreciate talent.

Respected Ryan Giggs for as long as I could remember. And Macheda might actually become really, really good.

So, just so you know I'm not bashing him
