I've given feedback the past few years and there seems to be people actually listening, so here it goes again, the 2012 version:
1. Better replay cameras
When you watch the highlights the camera angles are all very good, and very much like a TV broadcast. But when you manually watch a replay and save it to your hard drive, the camera angle options are very limited.
I'd like to see some of those camera angles from the highlights be available for manual replays as well.
2. Youtube upload or video conversion
It would be nice to have a way to share saved videos, a way to upload them to youtube, or a way to convert the saved replays into actual video files.
I know Sony's MLB game lets you save replays as actual video files, so it can't be that hard.
Combine this with my first suggestion and you'd have a much improved system.
3. Emblem slots for all teams
Self explanatory. Not sure why this hasn't happened yet. Legal reasons perhaps???
4. Greater range of speed and game tempo
I really like playing with the speed set at -2, because I feel it captures the build up better. However, it also makes for a slower game overall.
If I raise the speed to -1 or 0 then it feels a bit more realistic in terms of capturing the faster speed and quicker tempo, but you lose the low end slower build up.
In other words if the real life range of speed and game tempo were on a scale of 1-10, -2 game speed captures 1-7, while -1 speed captures 3-9. So I think the range needs to be stretched out a bit, to better represent the full variety you see in real life.
5. Clearances need some slight fixing
Every now and then you will see a clearance that looks way off. Sometimes you will see a guy way out near the half line clear it out of bounds to the side, or sometimes you will see a side back clear it all the way to the other side out of bounds.
It doesn't happen that often, maybe once every few games or so. And yes I realize I myself can choose to use a different button besides the clearance button, but the thing is that doesn't prevent the AI from doing so.
6. Defenders need more awareness of space and positioning versus oncoming dribblers
When there is an oncoming dribbler sometimes you will see defenders choose to mark a man without the ball rather than pay much needed attention to the man with the ball.
When this happens it usually happens between the penalty area and the half way line, and it opens up a huge space for the dribbler to go through, forcing you to scramble back to prevent a one on one.
It seems to me that center backs in particular need to be more aware of the space behind them, and value that in favor leaving that space for one of the attackers without the ball.
Hopefully that makes sense.
Basically you will sometimes see the back line part like they were giving way to Moses when an attacking player dribbles the ball over the half way line. It doesn't happen all that often, but it's a pretty glaring error when it does.
Like I say, center backs need to be aware that they are the last player between the attack and the keeper.
7. More visible radar icons
Often times the icons of the radar are barely visible, or indistinguishable from the icons of the other team. I always end up having to go to the screen settings before each game to set these to red and white.
I think in past games you could set these from the main menu so that the home team was always one color and the away team a visible and contrasting color, but you can't anymore. The options are still there from the main menu, but they are grayed out, so you have to set them in game.
It would be nice to be able to set these so they stayed one color permanently.
8. Variations of in game cameras
It would be nice to be able to perhaps zoom in or zoom out the in game cameras ever so slightly. In other words for each camera angle, also provide a few variations of those cameras, one that zoomed in a bit and one that zoomed out.
This would let people fine tune the camera to their liking.
