FIFA if you want the licenses. Pro Evo for ANYTHING else. Even as a fan of a Championship team - I'd rather play an excellent game with no licenses than an awful game with the proper kits... just Pro Evo every time - although FIFA is playable this time.

I never thought I would see the day.

Well, PES 2008 is arcadish, and that's a fact... just play the damn game for 1 week and tell me you aren't bored of it. Both FIFA08 and PES08 suck! someone said EA Sport's Euro 2008 is actually good, so you could take a look.

i have to say i havent played fifa 2008 as i have give up buying the fifa range now as i only play Pro evo

I have though bought euro 2008 after playing the demo, and the gameplay is amazing

There are so many different game types on there and the online play is amazing as well with competitions online etc

I wouldnt say get rid of PES as its a good game but Euro 2008 is definately worth buying and playing!

And to everyone saying "whats this"

The person who started this thread obviously doesnt have english as a first language but have tried to write in their best english to ask for help.

Just think about when you go to a foreign country and to get help you speak english just louder and expect people to listen to you and know what your talking about!

At least this person tried, so give him / her a bit of credit and give help and support instead of trying to take the P***

(not including people who actually gave a helpful reply)

I think I'd be right in saying that you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone who's got an attention span so short they're bored of Pro Evo after a week. But that's only a WILD guess.

i bought both

fifa 08 is good for:
season
transfers
currency
tricks
graphics
management
licenses
more leagues
more stadiums
better league system

pes 08 is good for:
gameplay
realism
editing
classic players/teams
fast gameplay

so basicaly if you want an artificial branded game, then buy fifa.
but if you want an in depth game and you can get passed some of the missing features then buy pes 2008.

maybe my case doesnt look like its in pes' favour but trust me buy pes over fifa, fifa has extremely slow reaction time when your on the ball and the shooing is too arcadey.

i have played both and i must say
PES2008 not as good as old PES's
but FIFA 08

SHIT
SHIT
SHIT
SHIT
SHIT

the skills career and the licenses beat PES2008
but the gameplay
oh wot SHITNESS have they made
how can they say its better?
i mean for gods sake
my baby cousin would pick PES2008 over FIFA08 and he cant even play yet
my god i... i... i... i mean jeez man
JEEEEZ HOW CAN U SAY THAT?

i played FIFA 08 and i couldnt wait to quit

PES2008 RULES FIFA08
anyway i gotta calm down
besides that PES2008 is much better by far than Fifa 08

my personal question is how well do u think PES2009 will be ?
how well will it compete with FIFA 09 ?
and the whole point of this thread
Which one will U buy?

Fifa kicks PES2008's arse - never thought I'd say that.

Having been an avid PES fan for well over 6 years, I was mortified at the latest offering for the PS3 so much so, I bought FIFA 08 too. Overall, I think FIFA pisses all over PES in so many areas.

FIFA 08 provides a fast flowing game, yet demands a lot of time and patience but the results are very rewarding, especially against such smart keepers and defenders. On top of this, you have options galore, great sounds, menus, presentation and fantastic stadium graphics.

PES on the other hand offers none of this. The sound is so bad I play it on silent, the graphics stutter and make replay's frankly annoying to watch, there's no options at all, combined with presentation and menus that look like they should be on the PS1 version.

As for the playability. It's gone. Dead. A sorry excuse of the amazing AI developed through years and years of incredible PES titles. The keepers can't catch shit. Meaning they punch straight to your striker or clip the ball into their own net at such an alarming rate, on the top setting my game with Real Madrid finished 5-3. How is that realistic!? I was actually embarassed as the goals went in!

PES2009 has a lot of work to do. So much, I doubt that Seabass has the time to pull it off. What this game should have done is put a next gen gloss over PES2007 which was for my money, the best so far on the PES2. All they have done now is put the game back 6 years.

I'm praying PES2009 will bring back the glory, but I'm not holding my breath.
