Haha. Pathetic PS2 engine still on rails.

FIFA 13 by 8 miles. (And I haven't even played FIFA 13 yet)

Fifa aside..........The PS2 engine on a next gen console is why i hate "The Fish" and Konami.

I have stated this over and over in multiple threads...PES cannot compete with its existing PS2 engine creaking under it.

What is the reason to constantly remove stuff when something is added?

Has anyone figured that out yet?

It is mainly because there are limitations to engine that is being used....it is too outdated.

So they have added a few animations with overpowered shooting ....but to compensate, they had to remove some items to equate.

If not, they risk crashes ingame and other bugs.

Why do you think they cannot get the online thing right?

Not enough digital canvas to work with.

Its about this time you start seeing all the negative comments start rolling in.

PES is pure shit again this year....period.

Fifa on the other hand has presented a good game for all to enjoy.
They have not really done any major improvements.....but there are visible fixes for the Impact engine, Shooting, Intelligent AI, Attacking Intelligence ...and so on. They have released a balanced game again this year.

Fifa deserves a 9.0 while PES should be awarded a 5.5 for effort

Peace out ....on to playing Fifa

The main reason(s) i really dont like Fifa

i dont agree with the same pattern attack !

i just played stock in fifa13 and they were playing long balls all the time to crouch.

for this year i officially and sadly would recommend fifa over pes.

Could you elaborate more on that......? Where exactly in the game is "off the picth"

The menus?

That is definitely not a fair answer and your post does show allegiance to PES.

My answer here is fair.

Maybe your mates are right in saying that Fifa looks better than PES ...who decides which is better?

So your belief is that they are fucking blind...because what they see for themselves...is not really real. It is really because Fifa adverts fucked up their visions...right? :w00t

But you know which looks better right? You are not blinded by bias at all now are ya buddy?

I am amused by your retarded thinking that in 2012 Fifa advertising is blinding millions of fans to believe that the game is better looking when its not.

This means that millions of fans have no brain and are easily swayed by adverts....those brain dead idiots. :realmad:

Why can't they just see that the less popular game is better...i don't know why?

It's measurable on the game characters not looking like the undead like they do in FIFA. PES looks more realistic, i'm sorry it does.

Marketing is very powerful. Take the iPhone 5 for example, clearly this phone has had its day, outdated software and a poor hardware upgrade that lags behind its competitors... Yet it still sells 2 million phones on its debut weekend... How is this possible?!

Brand loyalty and marketing! It's the same here.

Really don't agree with this at all, it's a ridiculously flawed argument.

The engine is being used on 360, therefore it is a 360 game engine not ps2... Code can be modified, there is no limit to this. Not sure what a digital canvas is?! haha!

It's not like Konami are sitting there making this game on a ps2 then packaging it as a 360 game you muppet.

What is the point in coming on here trolling, if you love fifa so much why come and voice your opinion on a PES forum? Because you know you will get a reaction, your arguments are all backed up by a fantasy opinion of your own and nothing else.

Come back when you have bought and played both games, learned to program xbox 360 games and grown up.

...and here is another RETARD

It makes no sense to even try explain some of the simple stuff you missed since it pretty obvious you are somehow retarded.

I am just happy that PESGAMING does not operate like WENB where talk of PES's direct and only competition ....FFIFA... is forbidden.

Retarded idiots like yourself deserve to live in a country run by a dictator..

Did you even read the name of the thread fool.....

Stop being an ass and try to read more...it helps a lot, believe me.

Am i the only one here saying Fifa is better than PES?

There is 21% of us here who think it is.....

Pathetic clown...

On the contrary Ali......

I have no intention of starting an argument with this person.

.. he actually believes that PES is built on a xbox 360 engine ....

is there any such engine for any game?

Wouldn't that allow me to call him retarded.

...and how does someone "Fifa Troll" in a fifa vs pes thread?

Would that mean that he is being an asshole or does it show immaturity or "retarded-ness".

I think the latter...

Cut me some slack...i deserve it.

PES wins easily, way better gameplay gives you great feeling during the game and feels realistic.
Every game is different and doesn't feel scripted as FIFA does.
FIFA is more of an arcade game for me, some people like arcade better but the if you want a realistic football experience, PES is the way to go!

FIFA 7.0 decent game good presentation
PES 8.5 realistic gameplay, lack of licenses and fewer leagues brings down the grade.

It is a FIFA vs PES thread, i'm not blind, but I just think your searching for a reaction from people, which I think probably is trolling.

I'm probably not a 'pathetic clown' or 'retard' to be honest. Again, I don't think you understand how games are made. Do you really think that EA started with a blank page and programmed from there? No, of course not! They took bits of code from other games, modified it and came up with something that seemed new.

I'm not denying that Pro Evolution used code from the ps2 days, but I don't think you understand how games or software is made very well so i'm trying to educate you, because you are writing comments that just are not true and it's unfair to Konami and all other game developers to post uneducated claims. I work as a computer programmer so I'm pretty well educated to explain this.

When companies say 'game engine', it is just a load of code, built from other code, with new and old bits put together. Unreal Engine 4 is next gen and looks amazing, but its built from older Unreal Engines.

Sorry just trying to make you understand.

In my original post I was trying to give an unbiased view of both games, then you came along... Well... Never mind!

This comment made me laugh. The scripting in the past few PES games has been atrocious. Fifa isn't that much better to be fair.

I've read through most of these posts but I'm yet to see anybody put in the fact that THERE ARE NO LEAGUES IN PRO EVO, no EPL, La liga etc, which for me is a massive problem. It's the most basic bread and butter of any football game. It's like having a hotdog with no bun, or chocolate without cocoa... you get the idea.

Having said that, the game play in pro evo is very nice, but Konami being Konami had to go and ruin it somehow.

I honestly can't make up my mind this year. Both have pros and cons but for me, evo is losing a lot of respect, and fans, for taking out league comps.

Edit - Fifa feels less scripted

There are loads of posts about league mode missing from the game! On this forum and others. Go to the rage thread...or ''No league mode'' thread.

Dude, seriously... :shocking:
So your a computer programmer, tell us how you had a 6 month contract working on the pes engine.

In all honesty man, your calling him a troll. Why because he is stating his "strong" opinion. The only reason people buy the iphone 5 and I agree with you on one thing, theres not many improvements over the 4s for example. The reason people buy the iphone 5 is for its great and easy to use UI and almost flawless features. I wouldnt trade my iphone for any phone even if the galaxy s3 is 4 x times faster because Im loyal to the UI. Its great for me...

Like everything in life, opinions are like assholes, everyone has one.

So yes this Fifa vs PES battle will go on forever even though PES is fighting an upwards battle. The problem is guys, we are all blinded by our alliances. I only went to Fifa since 12, at that very point, PES was a clunky peice of garbage. So I decided for the first time in 8-10 yrs roughly, I will give it a go...

So I ventured into Fifa 12, forbidden territory after only knowing PES.
I instantly fell in love with its somewhat different gameply, the animations were unreal and the ability to pull of different celebrations after a goal entertained me to say the least. The passing was rewarding and slowly I started to get into a rhythm. Then I found ultimate team and thats when PES RIP. I realised that now I will be able to actually play other players online and have bragging rights where PES has been lacking since the beginning of time.

So fast forward to now... Ive never actually played any football game as much as Fifa 12, I believe Ive completed about 850+ online games!! and played it for the entire time. I then decided to download the PES 2013 demo and guess what I liked it, it plays suprisingly well and since I lost faith in PES completely. Regardless of this, I knew online would be lacking again and I cannot turn my back on the love affair with ultimate team and seasons. The gameplay was still not what is expected for the year 2013.

Unfortunetely guys, your not talking to a person that is loyal to anything. I just cant see how PES 2013 can provide more of a great football experience over Fifa.

This is my opinion and all Im saying is, if you give fifa and UT/seasons a solid week of playing without quiting, you will see what I see.

Try it, I dare you.

I am waiting for my copy of PES2013 to arrive but in the meantime from my experience on FIFA13 > worse game I ever played!

FIFA 13 PROS
* Players actually try to stay onside!
* Skill games

FIFA 13 CONS
* Goal kick overpowered
* Free kick long distance too overpowered
* Collision engine just dumb
* Graphics
* No Camp Nou
* Referee gives free kicks to other team for no reason
* Passing engine shocking.
* Attacking/movement is no way near like FIFA 12
* One touch control is just gay!
* Servers are crap most the time offline
* Random crashes during tournaments/career etc
* Support from EA is the worse. Just imagine a support like call centre in India.

Going back to my PES roots. Will post PROS and CONS of PES2013.

mate it isn't about style or anything, the game feels restrictive offline, most of the times u find that u don't have much choice with ball, u're always pressed , plus the shooting aspect is messed up, u never know or if u are sure when striking the ball, it either goes middle of the goal, or wayward to the corner flag, you feel u don';t have confidence when being one on one, unlike previous games and mostly pes 6 and it's a feeling that is destroying my love for pes series, i never played fifa until last years fifa 12 which was good, u feel u have more time with the ball in fifa, which gives u more confidence playing the game and trying to be creative ,either to dribble or pass or cross, or to do a one two

I think it’s about which game you have been playing the last couple of years. Looking at myself, I’ve been playing FIFA since FIFA 10 now, because Konami let me down at PES 2009.

I was a hardcore FIFA player, played many many online matches. I won a lot of games, I skilled a lot, but now in FIFA 13, I played it, I reviewed it and I’m done with it. Back to PES again. Why?

Because luck is a factor now in FIFA. EA advertised with it themselves, and you can see it in every game.
Luck? I consider myself a good player. I win games with lower rated teams, but when luck starts to be a factor, it seems the higher ranked teams are always on the good side of luck.

I want to be the one who’s playing this game. I want to be the one who can control a receiving pass. In FIFA, you can only hope that this time it won’t bounce off of your feet. If I play very good, I want to win. If I play less of a game, I can accept my loss and deal with it, just like I did in previous FIFA series.

My guess is; the first touch control, just like the impact engine in FIFA 12, isn’t done yet. I think in FIFA 14 they will release the first touch control version 2, just like they did with the impact engine.
It’s a shame though… I had a lot of fun with FIFA.

This is what I posted on the Operation Sports forum:

The one aspect where I feel very strongly though is the sense of achievement, the sense of WOW, the sense of unpredictability and excitement. This is where PES has teh upper hand IMO. I'm not saying that FIFA is weak, but even great chances feel a bit... lukewarm - both to the eye and in terms of control. With PES, I absolutely love the sense of scoring a goal. It's the same sensation I get when I score in real life (a goal that is - no sexual reference here... :)
Scoring a goal in FIFA is cool, but I don't get any urge to watch the replay.

If I could design my perfect game it would be a mish mash of features combined from two games, based on:

FIFA - passing, fluidity of movement, player runs, first touch control, tackles
PES - graphics / colours / shadows, sense of weight, excitement of scoring

Great post ! I also tried both demos and have played both games in the past and to me it is that sense of unpredictability and excitement that has me playing PES 2013 as it just feels more like real football. Having said that, there are a lot of things Konami could learn from FIFA, particularly with respect to presentation (having played master league and BAL in the past I cannot believe how bland the presentation is in PES 2013) and online modes.

I have been playing a lot of online (mostly MLO) and while the gameplay is great and I have had some fantastic matches the online matchmaking is abysmal. I have never played ultimate team or head to head seasons on FIFA, but it sounds as if there are many more options that will allow you to play against an evenly matched opponent and play with a greater variety of teams (playing ranking matches in PES you would think Barcelona and Real Madrid are the only two professional teams on the planet).

Why Konami does not have something as basic as a divisional system for online matches is beyond me, as are other inexplicable decisions such as having no offline league mode (they make the effort to have the whole Spanish primera liga including stadiums modelled in the game but you can't play a season of the primera liga ?).

As note in the post quoted above, I think there are many people who like aspects of both games and wish they could be combined, which is of course why we end up with the endless debates on this and other forums ! Have to say that while I am enjoying PES 2013 I am seriously tempted to give FIFA 13 a try to see what the online is like and in spite of the fact that I still have doubts about the actual gameplay (keep trying the FIFA demo but there just seems to be something missing...)

Fifa ball physics is true GARBAGE .... Player motion is crap like rag dolls lol...PES is never a complete game (graphics and lightening this year suck) but at least pes has ball physics right
