to be honest alot of loyal PES fans have give this game alot of credit (Giggsy) but ive played it today and ive found it an improvement of the old game, but nothing near special, to me it lacks something.

Yeh, i was there, me and MattShez played it, and the shooting is terrible!!!
and the movement of the players and balls are also terrible!

btw u unlock balls in the shop, the movement is spot on, they do 1-2's on there own! and the shooting seems fine to me, practise is the key

k guys.. ill tell you something about fifa 2005.. yeah they have improved tremendously from 2004 to 2005.. the game looks fantastic.. the graphic is just horrifyingly good in my opinion. lol its like ur watching a live real soccer match.. the gameplay also improved by a lot.. but heres the thing about fifa... it looks great... and the first time u play.. u get the sense that.. ohhh it was a good game.. u dont get the feel like winning eleven or pes.. i mean.. after few games.. the games just sooo boring... guys.. my suggestions to u all is that... go find a demo on the web and download.. the match will be arsenal against ac milan.. u can pick either team.. and just play few matches.. then u will decide that konami is the right choice once again.. :D

I played it on the day of release and i didn't like it.
I don't quite know how to explain it, it just seem too stiff or something along them lines.

Well IGN JUST reviewed it and said it was the best fifa released. said the ball physics were finally believable and the animations were spot on. it got a 8.6
They said(or should i say he said) this Fifa is a big improvement.

The general grudges seem to be against the shooting and who ever said it is lacking "something" I completely agree. Just short of the finished article. Not in pro evo league, but a good knock about nonetheless., Will keep yuo entertained for a while, but you'll miss pes too much, get back to it, and never look back. A good rental me thinks.

Yeh, thats what I might do, rent it out and play it online, just to waste time till PES4 comes out!

Well, after 3 hours playing it , i must seriously say, this game miss something .. donk know exactly what, but it isn't by far so entertaining like WE. It's like fizzy drink without bubbles. But it's worthawhile experience - at least you realize, how much better WE series is. (Btw. 1.st touch is crap, it just don't work the way, it should)

It certainly lacks fluidity. With PES you feel more 'at one' with the game.

The graphics are shit! Well, compared to PES, anyway. Only a blind man would rate it visually higher than Pro Ev.

On the Xbox version, there is a game speed option. The slow setting is big improvement on default speed, where the ball pings around like an ice hockey thingy. Also the L trigger player movement control is fairly good. The only thing I didn't like in PES3 was that it could be fairly static off the ball (will this be better in PES4 ?). The player movment in fifa2005 is pretty good all round. However, the woeful shooting lets the game down !

not to be taken seriously
If I ran this forum, I'd employ an automatic ban for talk of FIFA being comparable to PES. It's a joke, anyone that buys fifa has got too much money, everyone knows which game has got longevity, and its a waste of £40 if you buy fifa, money which could be better spent by giving it too "The Lance Armstrong cancer foundation" which everyone on this fora seems to be obsessed with.

my friend have FIFA'05 and i played a couple games with him and its just crap. they game is visually nice but everthing else is missing. the way the player shoots is impossible, you can basically have a shot, very strong one too, from any angle.
