Fifa to PES

I've been playing Fifa Ultimate Team for the last 3 years but have slowly become disillusioned with all the technical issues, server lag and downtime. Is PES a better more stable experience or does it have its own problems? And is there a mode similar to Ultimate Team?

I heard bad things about online for PES2013 but offline, game is really good. So if you want actual challenge, and a game in which you need to sink hours and hours to be good,go with new PES. But be sure to get 1.02 patch because it fix AI tremendously!

What a bunch of idiots posting here,if you don't like pes don't visit PESGAMING forums,jeez..

Great idea. Then people like the guy who started this thread wouldn't be able to get any impartial advice on whether to buy the game or not, just a bunch of people telling him how much they loved PES.

For the record, I'd also advise the guy to stick to FIFA as PES does not have anything like the same amount of modes or decent online play and this is what he seems to be looking for.

The only thing I remember from fifa is in the free kicks an arrow was showing you even the bend in the bal that will give with your shoot pointed directly to the net!?

I'm very happy that I never 'mastered' the 'techniques' in there! But you don't you feel a shame that you came to a pess forum to sell crap?

I had FIFA 13 this year and really didn't like ultimate team. Master league online is the PES equivalent, and is much better IMO. I won the first division on FIFA13 after just 1 month and I hate the fact that you can just buy yourself a better team with real money. Ultimate teams transfer pricing is stupid aswell, you can get a team 3 teams of 80's for the same price as a 74 striker? It's none realistic and also not exciting. Pes's master league for me is more fun as it takes much longer to get a good team and you really feel like you've worked hard for it.

However FIFA's ability to be able to buy/sell players from your PC or mobile was a great addition, I did really enjoy that and think Konami could learn from that.

Pes has no lag or freezing issues for me where as fifa did.

Pes online games end up 2-1, 3-0, 1-0, 4-1 etc. Where as fifa's ended up 11-2, 8-7, 6-9, 9-2 etc - I didnt like that.

Pes isn't perfect, there is a problem with defenders ability to defend long balls and that has kinda made the online experience kinda 1 dimensional although with practice it's counterable.

Fifa's pro club and be a pro online really took Konami's idea and made a good thing out of it, I enjoyed that when it worked.

Fifa offline was also much better for me, I really enjoyed FIFA offline, however online sucks for FIFA and I sent it back after 6 weeks saying it didn't work as advertised and then I bought pes.

I'd had every other pes before and glad I came back, it is however far from perfect also.

Well posting wheresmark to start a real conversation but the vertical long bals? is the reality in football, I mean any cf is dreaming the perfect vertical long pass that will put him ahead at the back of the defenders as they are trying to get him off side.

Imagine to play at front to make a lot of runnings and no one to serve you the ball right! I just don't understand those who ask the game to be more real and forget how the real football is played sometimes.

PS my favorite player is Cesc Fàbregas you can see it in support he serves the bal to right foot and makes it look like so simple every time btw. I like pes because is more closer to real than any game as well putted by wheresmark.

Yeah I play football for a pub team in a local sunday league and play CF or occasionally as a winger. And most goals are scored from long balls tbh, or corners and crosses. But even the sunday teams defences I play would be able to stop some of the balls that go past people in pes13.

However even with the long balls, this years pes is by far the best Pes for PS3 and is a much much better game than Fifa when played online. Both games could learn from each other tbh.
