Final OptionFile Based on Football Manager 11 patch 11.3 - Summer Version

I created this Option File based on Football Manager 2011, which is famous for being used by scouts in real life to assess players’ ability

This is the completed option file. Many changes compared to the demo version I posted before:

+ Passing and Off The Ball are remarkably improved, nearly reaching the level of Fifa Nextgen. Attacking teams like Milan, Barca can make incredible one-two moves.

+ Attack minded wing back like Evra, D. Alves will go forwards whenever possible. But with the likes of Wes Brown, M. Motta, they will stay back much more.

+ Attack and Defense stats are adjusted based on Overall Comparison of FM

+ All teams have stats based on FM11, which reduces the difference between major and minor teams. Many anonymous stars in small clubs waiting to be found.

+ Many many new young talents are added, such as Iturbe, Chamberlian, Lucas Moura, Iago.... The list of new players is attached in the download file.

+ Jens Lehmann is already in Arsenal.

Comparison between my Only Goby Game play and Default Game play [/U]

- In default game play, the stats often range from 70 to 90. Thus, there are not so much difference among players. It is difficult to realize what are their weakness and strengths.

- Almost every players, even defenders like Vidic, can alone break through the defense and score wonderful goals.






About My Game Play

- The most noticeable change is that we need to pass a lot more often.

- The players’ styles, abilities are close to real life

vd: Bendtner helpless before goalOwen so fragile, P. Ferreira- a disaster in defense, or Mr. Mistakes Fabianski....

- When play, we can see the problems which teams are facing in real life, such as:

+ Chelsea, Juventus...lack of creativity and technique
+ Man U with only Nani can do some magic with his dribbling ability
+ Barca, Arsenal struggle against teams with physical strength (like Inter)
+ AC Milan with too-old-and-slow defenders[/B]

First of all, you can´t compare stats from Shollym gameplay OF because there I made some changes like increasing balance to ALL players because I wanted to decrease the big gap between 'big' and 'small' clubs because every football player goes to gym regularly and just because his name is Shawcorss and plays for Stoke City doesn't mean that he's not one of the strongest defenders, but if he played for Chelsea I can bet that everyone on PSD would increase his stats, like he's got stronger only because of playing in a big club - wrong.
Also I made many other change to player stats, so if you want to make a comparison take stats from my Normal OF, but I don't see the point of comparing numbers, it's the gameplay that counts, and my gameplay got nothing but praise. If you take Owen´s balance from my normal gameplay it´s 82, and you should know that short players like Messi and Owen are handicapped with their height in the game, because if you give same balance stats to a short player and a tall player then the tall player is stronger, that´s why I give little bit higher balance stats to all short players, not only Messi, and if you ask me - yes he is as strong as drogba for his height.
The other thing is that I would love to see how you defend with that Marcello of yours, my point of view is not to have correct numbers, but to have realistic gameplay. The most important aspect of PES6 defence are the side backs, and I´ve noticed that any SB with defence and teamwork lower than 77 doesn´t play defence at all, and comes back very rarely.
So if you want to compare my gameplay with another one don't compare the stats because I don't give a bull's C... for numbers, I've analyzed how the players behave in game and then adjusted the stats (numbers) according to what I've seen.

read the comments in my evo-web thread about Shollym gameplay and try to forget about the numbers for a moment ;)

It is just the difference in our style. Not only your OP, other patches don't pay too much attention to the stats of players. I respect your products, it just depends on the way we think:). Difference between the small and big clubs is illustrated in the players' ability. I just adjusted the stats based on FM, and I think FM makes very realistic stats for players.

In my opinion, Messi doesn't need the strength to get past opponents. Marcelo is never famous for defending, do you watch Real regularly, he hardly stays back:D. Moreover, If we want players in a more defensive role, we can adjust his "individual" and "L2 + R2" to switch to defensive approach. Whether we can defend or not doesn't just depend on the stats :)

Secondly, In my OP, not all players in big clubs have high stats, and vice versa, small clubs get their stars:). I made stats based on FM, and it would be totally wrong to say there are no super players in minor clubs:D.

Lastly, we just continue with our work :). You did a very good job :). And I, I just stick with my style, and let the users feel and choose what they want :)

ok, but don't compare stats and say that your OF is good because of that, I still haven't got time to test it, but I saw that agression is high for all players, you know that agression makes players go forward, I think that defenders with high agression like here in your OF will go forward more often than they should and leave empty gaps behind, I know they do that with agression over 70, and here its around 90.

yea, I know the Agression stats, only high for attack-minded teams like Barca, Arsenal:D. Yet, We still can hold defenders back with tactic functions :)

About comparation, just happen to be your OF in my post, I said default gameplay, :). They are the things I don't like in other patches' option files :).

Keeping trying, for a never-die Pes 6 ^^

oh wow, Shollym seems to be kinda 'angry'? just joking.

Both you only_goby and shollym makes great stats for the option file. For me, both are the best stats maker out there. You two has your own specialty.

Personally, I chose only_goby because I've had the best feeling of playing PES6 with his stats. My computer cannot play any other football games other than PES6. Although I dreamt of playing the latest football games available like PES2011 or FIFA11, but what can I do? My computer isn't that good.

Anyway, everyone has different taste of gameplay of how they like, which one is more realistic or what, doesn't really care, it's the user who use those option file judges. Just continue your work, you two! You guys are great! :)


P/S: only_goby, please make the stats for Phoenix PES :( thank you. shollym too, if you want :"(

what am i doing wrong here?

i donwnloaded the option file so i could transfer it using the max drive onto my ps2 but its not showing on the usb when I plug it into my ps2.
It will only save option files which have the word "max" after it. is there any way of converting this option file into a max file or is there an easier way to save this option file

I could do it, but I wouldn´t recommend you using this OF for PS2 since the club emblems and some other stuff will be missing. I guess these (emblems etc) are included in the patches available for PC only ...

Besides, Stewart Downing is missing in Liverpool ... :)

In this thread is another updated OF, including a .max-file that i uploaded, and with no need for patches. I can´t tell if it has the same quality as this one though ... Try and find out: http://www.pesgaming.com/showthread.php?t=84851&page=2
