Haha! I don't have a PS2 so Crash bandicoot is not gonna be an option!! I don't wanna play anything else anyway - I just wanna play footy! I've vowed not to play the CPU again anyway after last night! I played the game from 6pm til 130am constantly only stopping to eat my tea. I'm in work today and my eyes are stinging and I've got headache from the stress of the damn thing!! It's not good for my health that game....I hope that WE9I sorts out some of the irritating issues and if so I might play that then...I'll only play PES5 with another person from now on - I hate the CPU with my heart and soul...

So do you have it on PC? It's really easy to get online if you have a PC so try that. You said you enjoy it with your brother so maybe...But you never know, losing to human opponents because of a variety of bullshit defenders and an even worse referee could ultimately convince you to end your life...

Cheers to those who replied to my post on the last page. And it's good to see there are a few Barça fans here! Força Barça!

It's not an enjoyable experience anymore, and every goal I score doesn't make me happy, it just makes me feel like I'm getting revenge on the conniving scumbag. I literally swear at it, like it's a person who I hate! And I don't hate anyone!!!

On another note...what they did to Ronaldinho's stats is a crime. Free Kick 77!? That is outrageous!

Yeah, I've got it on PC - I've not played the PS2 version - I wonder if it plays the same? If online is as laggy as some people have said it is, I'm not gonna bother - it sent me stupid last year with PES4 because you only ever won your hosts and lost as a client - regardless of how standard your opponent was. I had a good upload speed and they often said it was very smooth, but when I was a client my players jumped all over the place!! In ladders when it gets competitive, to be fair you have to host one and client one - players above you hardly ever accept the challenge because they'll end up losing points when you host, and players below you make you lose points when they host!! It's catch 22!!!

I have to play against the CPU, and let me tell you.. THIS KONAMI GUYS HAVE F**ED UP THE GAME WITH THAT GAMEPLAY. Really, its very annoying to play against the CPU, its cheat after cheat after cheat.. i remember this game as a cheater in every installation, but this one is huge, i cant believe they have taken away your control of the player (no free movement) and they tottaly ignore the player stats, so everyone is faster than Owen (even the oldies) and every DMF plays like the best Dunga or Roy Keane, every match, every time.

Im very dissapointed with the way the CPU makes a pass so they can score, the CPU can make a very short angled pass, but you cant! you have to stick with your stupid 8 directions!

And master league.. they retired part of the bunch of retards, to put some no-brainers! I swear these guys cant even kick a ball, they get taken the ball away every time, they do not respond to my directions, and of course, they get manipulated by the CPU every time it wants.

I dont know,, maybe i was expecting so much more that now that i have it im only seeing the bad parts, but i guess im gonna have to play against some human dude, because like i said earlier, THESE KONAMI GUYS HAVE KILLED THE SINGLE PLAYER EXPERIENCE !!!

Initially, I did not quite like PES5 . I just could not give up PES4 with the 92 British Club patch. But now, having mastered the control, I 'm beginning to like PES5. Despite what ppl says, I think Konami is heading into the right direction. The game is now almost like the real thing and I'm really hooked. It is much better than PES4 in terms of CPU AI and response. It may look difficult to outpace a defender but with the right timing it is quite easy to beat a defender on a run. One thing I found wanting in all PES/WE series in an injury indicator. It would be instrumental if an injury is known by changing the color of the cursor in the midst of the game. Perhaps red or something. That would be nice and user friendly.

When one of my players gets an injury, I often get a cutscene or a message saying someone has taken a knock? Does that not happen for you? It evens happens when a foul isn't given, and shows a replay of when the injury occurred! I quite like that about this new PES.

I've been one of the worst whingers about this game, and even though I've been pretty good at it since the start (seeing as though I've played PES4 solid for a year) it's annoyed me immensely with all it's little cheating ways, and manipulation of your players to allow the CPU to score. However now, I'm starting to accept these things because I enjoy some of the goals I score so much, it's worth the pain!

It's also been made much more enjoyable by the V2 option file I downloaded the other day, it's made everything so much better! I assume players stats have been upgraded or something, because they just seem more responsive and since having it, I've scored some of the best goals I've ever scored...I highly recommend it - the kits look pretty cool and the club badges are good too!

I had a day yesterday playing it without getting mad, because I put myself in the frame of mind that sh!t WILL happen, and I'm also getting used to the situations when it will and preparing myself for moments when I should be running into acres but instead my player will stumble...

PES5 has a lot of improvements but the gameplay is not as good as in PES4.
Improvements : referees are better, shots look more real, players fight for the ball and you can "feel" your opponent's shoulder, you can tackle an opponent without the fear of a red card even if you didn't touch him, receiving the ball is improved ...
Drawbacks : dribbling is worse, all players seem to have the same skill when they receive the ball - in real life clumsy players cannot stop the ball like Zidane, headers are too strong, goalkeepers move in a strange way (same as PES4).
Overall I think the referees is the best improvement and the dribbling the worst "feature" of this game. It is inferior to PES4 but still a good game...
Oh, and (in my system) PES4 looks better than PES5. PES5 plays jerky...maybe my Graphics card?

PES5 is looking a lot like EA Sport's FIFA series..
easy ball steal with poke tackling..
players getting caught in animations..
players staring at loose balls..
when players run for loose balls, they slouch forward like they are looking for something..

I'm complaining because I love this game.
