graphics look improved... scoreboard kinda sucks but i can live with it because the current board isnt a beauty as it is anyway. no licenses? no problem, patches are fine for me. i will have this game whether it sucks or not, but the breaking/making point of this will be gameplay (new features)/mutiplayer (probably not). but i am an avid WE/PES supporter so ill get this. hope they included some new skills and better physics in to the game.

Come on guys! Stop squabbling. Ok we know fuck-all about WE8 apart from a couple of screens, and that it will have more teams etc etc.

Winning 11 - I tend to agree with you in parts about Konami not delivering in non-gameplay aspects of the game, but Seabass cannot be called a tool. To me he is a genius and has given me the greatest games ever. He is on a par with that guy that produces Gran Turismo, and you wouldnt call him a tool! And don't give others a hard time over getting excited about a few screenshots. Each version gets better, and Konami face a tough task improving perfection, but WE8 should be the best football game ever, so i think we are entitled to be optimistic. Its release is something everyone is counting down the days to, so every little snippet of info is met with great excitement.

Im not having a go at you.......... but cheer up!

Pic 1: Looks amazing. Great detail and a pretty good looking crowd.

Pic 2: Looks average, but then again it's a small picture so it's really hard to tell. One thing that puzzles me is that everyone was talking about how we'd have all these real team names, etc., especially the english teams etc. and yet, they aren't licensed (?). The scoreboard is too big, too bold and too obtrusive (I only want to see it when I look at it). It'd be nice to have (ARS - CHE) as opposed to the flags as well. The radar also seems to stick out into the view as well.

Pic 3: Too small to say anything.

We really need more pictures and info. The one thing I was really looking forward to was the licensing, but it doesn't look like that's included (although I hope I'm wrong on that). So far, I see good and bad.

yea it annoyed me... i also hope that they force you to see how you are going in the season.. because i always found that in my rush to get through a season to buy more players.. i would not take note of which game i am playing.. like most of the time the only time i knew the difference between a cup game and a lague game was how much money i got at the end of it..

Yea, same here mate, i hate when the shirt is tucked in, it should be out.....

They shoul have that in Edit Mode: Tucked in or Out :)

They have that on this is football 2004, and the option to have the socks pulled up or down round the ankles. we need little options like that.

Too little to comment whether it is good or bad. Why is everyone so impatient? Just wait till it gets reviewed, try it, then buy it or leave it. Simple.

i know the screens r too small but has any1 noticed that 2 arsenal (or players on red and white) are wearing gloves? (notice white skin with black hands).

ps. dunno if any1 has already mentioned it, cant b arsed 2 read all the posts

I noticed that too but i'm quite sure whether they are actually gloves or something pictured by my imagination! :p

Nothing more to say for the time being as it is early..My expectations for the game increase every year so why don't be optimistic and for this year version?Just be a little patient...Go Konami go!!! :)

I think the screens look ok, but its way too early to make judgement!!! they are gonna get better thats for sure but if they didnt, would you really be THAT bothered? I know we'll all still go out and buy the game anyway! plus it'll be so much better to have a load of new options (like the gloves and having shirts un tucked) than to have just wonderful graphics. because then the game would just be turning into a new fifa!!! same game wrapped up differently!!!

Spot on! Pro Evo looks so much better than FIFA in my opinion, and we dont need to mention the gameplay. Its just the little touches that will help tidy the game up.

jag, i just ordered my copy of we8, hopefully i'll beat you too it mate :D

and whoever said that feature about socks and tucked-out shirts is frigin right. They need to add these features and they should. And the gloves spotting by ash, i think it might be a new feature in which players wear gloves in cold weather e.g like Lokomotiv Moscow players do at home games.
but just a suggestion though :rolleyes:

i think that'll be a really great idea, things like gloves, having shirts untucked, how players wear socks, mud on shirts etc. if they cant get the lisences (on cant be arsed to get them! tut tut konami! lol) its the little details like gloves etc that will make the game so much more realistic and authentic
