Right, i have finished my first season in BAL. I am at Aston Villa. I have had the most frustrating season as every player at Villa didn't seem to run with the ball, People like A. Young and G. Agbonlahor didn't take players on and just seemed either to try and jog around the players or run through them. The players were shooting from anywhere even though i or team mates were in better positions.

Anyway i for some odd reason even though i scored about 7 goals and got 2 assists in all the games i played have made it on to the England subs bench. No idea how but i shouldn't complain i suppose.

Hopefully going to move to a better team, however remembering what happened last BAL that team will become stupid and the team i left will be world beaters again. Konami need to sort this out. Maybe they can make players actually go for a ball even though the pass wasn't meant for them, instead they will just run away from it.

I think as a whole this mode has not improved but got worse in alot of areas, One area that has improved is when you finish a game you get much better game experience. Now they just have to improve the rest.

I will carry on playing this mode because i live the idea of it, and hopefully when my player has better stats i will just carry the rest of the team as usual.

a find the players in ur team cant pass for shit... when u get into a awesome position they either try the stupidest pass every or shoot from anywhere
its doing ma nut in ....

^Yeah it happens bur remeber last year? It was the same. At first they won't pass to you and then after some seasons and when your player increases they will pass to you. I believe this will be the same. I played with messi alone in Barcelona and they really passed the ball well and it was highly enjoyable. I believe BAL will reach that point when you're player is good enough. But we can agree that this year's AI is much better. Your teamates are better.

^I am at Arsenal in season 3 and the difference is pretty visible. Season 1 was really the worst because your teamates won't pass the ball. Now it's much better. In my opinion it does get better with every season.

In my second season now with Fiorentina and don't agree at all. BAL this year is way better than last. My team do go through slumps but always through good reason and even though I felt I had to carry the team with poor stats and at a young age my team recovered and are doing well again.

Well i am in my 4th season now. Here are my stats for first 3 seasons I play on Top Player.

2009-2010 Villa PL 25 GLS 7 Assists 2
2010-2011 spurs 35 25 8
2011-2012 spurs 43 44 9 Won Premier League
2012-2013 Man U 20 15 3

I find the game as a whole better but only because i can carry the team when needed. However i don't see the improvement in AI from Villa to Man U. In fact i think it to be slightly worse.

A couple of questions to anyone willing to answer.

1) Has anyone had a penalty given to there team yet in this mode? i am not joking i have not had one. I should have had plenty, however because the player touched the ball after slicing me from behind i never got it. We have given away 2 pens, both missed as well.

2) does anyones teammates have a sprint button? When i was at Tottenham, Aaron Lennon, never sprinted passed anyone at all, just tried jogging around them. As soon as i played against them for Man U. he was running the defence ragged.

Same thing is happening at Man U now. Rooney is shit, Always gets ball taken off him. Now i know the makers of the game want to make the game difficult, i think that is too far though. I love the idea of this mode and thats why i will continue to play. I just think there are parts to this game that need improving.

I play on professional difficulty because professional has already enough AI cheating.
Anyway as for your questions.
Yes I won a penalty once. I don't remember other times, but we had more than 3. Still not enough though. We should have had more.

I was with Arsenal and Bentdner had a sprint button so did Walcott.

I just find my players don't want to try and take people on much. They would rather run into a player or try a pass that would never ever get to anyone. I am going through a barren spell of games now not scoring, which is frustrating enough. Nevermind the not getting chances, or the opposition having about 10 minutes a game of possession at any one time.

^I know, it's part of AI cheating. When the opposition starts to play like that, reset the game because it's frustrating. ;)
Anyway, what season are you now? 4? If so I am about to begin season 4 with Madrid. Season 3 with Arsenal was brilliant. They passed the ball and they played good overall. Some games, were resetted because of AI cheating and opposition passing the ball all 90 mins.

Yeah in Season 4 now. Forgot to mention, even though i had a shit first season with Villa i got called up to the England squad, which i found weird, anyway got 18 goals in 16 games for them. But the one thing i don't like about national side games is the timing. My fatigue is always high and then you can't skip England games so you get more and more tired.

I remember enjoying playing for Arsenall in PES2009 they played some good stuff.
