Hi all,

I've played around 3-4 seasons of ML with valencia and starting out with the default players on top player. After season 2 i changed the difficulty from top player to professional so i could actually enjoy playing a match instead of grinding my teeth in frustration at my lack of silverware. I got sick of winning by easy 3-4 goal margins and straight consecutive wins for a near season.

The point of this thread is to report, 'in my experience', which players are guaranteed transfers so long as you negotiate from week 1 2009 with scout level 5. These are a handful of quality players I have purchased every first season transfer window without fail. I tried this with my new ML team Panathinaikos (i love the kit) in D2 with default players.

CF Di Vaio
SMF Wijnaldum
DMF Catermole

All 4 of these players have proven development curves (with the exception of Di Vaio who is already at his peak or slightly over the hill at 33yrs). I was also able to easily purchase di vaio, wijnaldum and catermole in my first season with valencia.

Other players i have bought while playing as panathinaikos are ninis (AMF looks to be a young star with a solid development) on a free trade, cardacio (SMF from AC Milan who at 20 hopefully will steadily improve) and palmieri and oscar (palmieri has a steady development in my experience hitting mid 70's by the 3rd season), oscar's development was actually quite slow for me.

Some other good buys I made with valencia were:

Paonessa (ss)
Nashat Akram (amf)
Cerci (smf that plays far better than his 79 overall stat at 24)

Typicals:
Iluznica (cmf)
Horymaqua (CB)

btw, I can't play on anything but top player + default players. It actually gives my purchased players an opportunity to shine. Guttiriez and stein are actually awesome

I got Bendtner from Arsenal during the first window on my first ML, i'll check his curve but i'm sure it's decent.

check out M. Marin. he's a speedy CMF with promising development (20 yrs and 95 acceleration, plus near 90 speed and dribbling).

i really want to try Ki Sung Yong because seeing his growth reminds me of a korean Gourcuff but i just can't get him.

Well heres what i just discovered, if u start ML mode with a bad team they always give u the worse scout, coach etc...if u play with the best teams they automatically get good scout and etc and in the 1st season if u have a good scout already its easy 2 negotiate for players...for example i am playing as tottenham hotspur in my 1st ML season i have good scout and coach etc already i was about to purchase the following players Sebastian Shweinstegier (sp) Podolskie and Phillipp Lahm they all came to my team with simple ease...

cardacio is in my ML team and his overall is 82 and im in my 5th season

Well, it's not so easy.
The success of a negotiation depends on many factors such as the scout level, and the championship(s) you are currently playing (second or first division, CL, etc).

But another factor that it seems to be very important is the rating of your team. If you start a ML with a created team (let's say you take and edit team R from other leagues), you will start with scout level 1 and your team will be rated around 150 in the world. In that position it is unlikely you can buy the suggestions you've gave us.

It took me 4 seasons to be able to buy decent players. Why? My team had to win a lot of trophies to be placed in a top position of the world rating and that took around 3-4 seasons if you start with a team from scratch, otherwise the players won't accept to go to your team.
