Fix the freekicks from inside your own half

my friend's striker fouled my defender and i was awarded a freekick inside my own half. WHY don't we have the options on that freekick as we do on a freekick 25 yards out ?

I just held down pass and the ball went to his striker and he scored. All thanks to not being able to change it and have 2 players standing over the ball, one passes it to the other and he runs off with it

praying those freekicks are sorted in the new pes

I understand that u wanna just play the ball and run off with it, but why did u pass to the striker, u cud just kick it long.

i hate kicking it long. may aswel kick it to the keeper. its like when i have a goal kick, i never punt it long.

Last night was first time ive played against a human in monthd and i wasnt used to being read

should at least be able to push a button and a player comes short to receive a pass. just annoys me

in older versions of PES you were able to direct your short passes, left right etc. in PES09, the short passes only go to your closest teammate, which is why the ball went straight to your friends striker. it is that needs sorting out, or rather bringing back

directing the short passes should be brought back, am playng the game so i should be in control of the game not some AI doing stuffs like that for me

try to use right stick and do a manual pass, then you can reach the defenders that are on the same line as you or even behind

You nailed it mate if you want to direct passes in any direction you need to use the manuel pass.

Manual pass is to "weird" for me... I can't explain it, it just doesn't feel right.

i think you should be able to play on more, like if you get fouled especially in your own half you should be able to run to the ball and play it quick. I like the idea of bringing back the directional short kick too.
