Football/Champ Managers are awful games.

Am I the only one on these forums who doesn't like the whole manager simulation series? The games are crap, it's a giant spreadsheet, I just don't see the fun side to be honest. And I hate people who just go Man Utd or AC Milan from the start, what's the point? You'll win the league every season and there's no challenge, so no fun. If you're Man Utd or AC Milan fan then you'll obviously want to go them. But try getting Yeovil to the Premiership, there's a challenge, and so maybe a little more fun, but I can't them play them, they're too boring. And I respect anyone who has managed to Yeovil to the Premiership.

WHAT???? Championship manager was (not the new one since Eidos now develop) the greatest football game series of all time! Have you actually played it? There is no better thrill than taking over your favourite team and playing manager in the most realistic mgt sim of all time. My best is to take Sunderland from 1st Division to back to back Champs Lge and Premiership champions in 5 years

I played CM 4 I think it was, the one before Football Manager anyway, and within my first season with Everton I'd spent £1.5M and won the league, the FA Cup and got to the semi final of the Carling Cup. I didn't really hate the games before that, but I guess that's what killed any liking I had for the games. But that was the first time I ever actually sat down and decided I was going to play it, because all the other times, I got bored 3 games into the season, and I gave that season a go and winning almost everything, spending only £1.5 made me realise it's an unrealistic and crap game, or I'm unrealisticcally good at it.

Champ Man is one of my fav games, it's to addictive especially 01/02. The New Football Manager is great to, ive had some great memories of past seasons that i have done ages ago, i love it, how can this game be boring especially now with the 2D pitch..

I think the PES/WE series are the greatest football games.

I lose in management games and that makes me play PES and beat the team that just beat me.....
