Football newb getting destroyed online

Now I'm a newb to football. But I don't think i'm this bad. Is it me or does everyone choose the following:

Brazil
Real Madrid
Barcelona
Man U
Spain

I personally like playing with a variety team but man Juventus vs Barcelona is no fun. Japan vs Spain is no fun.

Does anyone else out there NOT choose the top 5 best teams?

Anyways i'll probably stay offline for a while. All the teams literraly steal every pass and win every challenge. I pretty much just play defense and hope not to lose by 7.

also the "star" players seem SO overpowered. Messi, Kaka (?), dude from Man U (young guy whats his name; total newb sorry) run unbelievably fast.

Most of these online games turn into me trying to play a proper game and everyone else sprinting by me.

Any tips? should I just stick offline? The lag isn't super noticeable in reality

Great game other wise. I think it feels more real the Fifa

Well i rarely chose top teams. A few weeks ago i was matched with a division 1 player. He picked Inter and i took Uzbekistan as a joke but he still chose Inter.

What a loser. I went down 2-0 after Etoo and Stankovic ran through.

But i managed to get back and got a 2-2 draw.

Later the loser left me a message saying i was lucky. Go figure i picked Uzbekistan so its obvious i had a big disadvantage from the beginning.

I have not in 150 matches met one guy that picked an inferior team to me.

LOL. Its the same thing as in street fighter everyone chooses Ken/RYU. I chose Dhalsim cause I like his stretchy arms.

Anyways I wish I knew more about teams because I really have no idea who is good to a certain extent.

Who would Juventus match up against? Who would Japan match up against.

In all fairness I do lose a few games 1-0, 2-0 which when overmatched doesn't tick me off too much

I got burned out on playing online 1v1 due to this (well, a couple other reasons, too) and only do Legends now. I nearly always played with the team I support (see avatar) when in the public rooms, and I'd spend ages finding somebody not playing with Barca-RM-Braz-Arg, only to end up playing Chelsea or Inter 10 times out of 10. Roughly one of those matches (against a solid Chelsea player) was actually a good, fair match (and I lost, but just barely!).

Once, I saw somebody playing with Club Brugge against an ML team, so I figured they must be different. Joined the next game using my ML PES United (which is made up entirely of youth prospects) and the other guy's ML was Madrid + Messi, Rooney, and Torres, all of whom started along with Ronaldo, Higuain, Kaka, and Benzema (and Aguero from the bench). I lost 2-1 thanks to the nigh-undefendable standard tactic that sort employs 100% of the time (ruuuuuuuuuun -> cutback), but it was fantastically amusing when I scored the opening goal and actually had more chances with a team containing no players rated higher than 65.

well im fucking sick of barca hype. im official barca fan since 86 when i was born and its f**king annoying to see this shit happenin to my team. i cant wait when barca will be on the average in pes, but when theyre on the run, other teams will be underrated. i still choose barca and im happy when i see other than inter rm or barca. barca-barca is ANNOYING.

i think it all about experience. im always choose chelsea. when offline chelsea are so great than can beat up many top teams. but when im online recently, off course played against barca or real madrid, they all over powered me. some of them knows my playing stails, and some knows how to intercept my pass...all i can say is experience and more practice. keep practicing with your friends on offline build up your experience 'sorry for my bad english'
