Formation for an older club...

I'm doing a Master league season with Real Madrid, I'm using the default squad and its loaded with old timers - mid to late 30's the majority. I start off with a 3-4-1-3 and my guys get tired quickly so I go to a 5-4-1 with the midfielders set on my side of the pitch.

What do you guys recommend for a team with a stamina problem and loaded with older players?

edit: I'm three quarters of the way thru the season, so I don't want to restart it, I'm wondering why my squad is loaded with players who are not on Real, was I supposed to download the update before I began my season? I just got the game last week so I'm not familiar with the working yet...

I don't think it matter how old your players are, just make sure your wingers aren't notably slower than your opponents backs.
Age doesen't really matter in this game, if the skills are good, the player is good.

I wouldn't use wingers, since they will probably be to slow to beat their man. Not sure what else, in all honesty.

I was able to pick up some younger talent during the negotiation period so I'm able to give more rest to my older players. I'm in the last week of my ML season and all of my players have poor stamina - maybe you build up more stamina in the second season?

I haven't been too lucky picking up quality players, I'm now trying to figure out how to obtain some above average players in transfers, maybe I can pick up some Free agents in the off-season.

average young player can become most talent player if you play 4+season with him and win a lot or perfect season. (and give him a chance to play)
