Free kick in PES6 - my input

hi all,

i think everyone has been having issue with freekicks in PES6.
when press and hold :square: it tends to fly too high.

what i do is use the same stragedy as in PES5, but "double" tap and hold the :square: toward half bar, + or - the half bar depends on the power you want.
i.e. if you aim to power shot to half bar, tap + hold :square: before half bar, quick relase and tap + hold :square: to half bar.

This way the ball would not fly as high as Beckham's infamous penalty shot.

Wait...
i tend to give alot less power in pes6 than in pes5. i scored a screamer with junihnio the other day. it was lyon vs real madrid, in the 89th minute, i was 4 -3 down and had to score this to equalise. jjuninhio stepped up and took the freekick superbly. the ball actually went into the very top right hand corner and hit off both the post and the cross bar and into the back of the net. it was one of the best and satisfying freekicks ive ever scored.

I haven't had any difficulty in scoring free-kicks in PES6. It's about the same as free-kicks in WE10.

It's very easy to score with players who have got free kick and curling stats of 95+. But you can forget scoring a free kick with someone who has free kick stats lower then 90.

very true.

basically same as pes5, but use less power.

my input-
:R2: + :square: halfway point(or a bit more) for kicks around the 25m mark and hold the direction in which the spins is inteded on going.
:R1: + :square: half way or less for -25m
:square:+:triangle: for ronaldesque free kicks...lots of power no direction in particular
NOTE: as soon as the power gaughe is on hold triangle

I was practising the other day at taking free kicks underneath the wall in training, then ronaldinho seemed to somehow copy me with his breathtaking goal. However when i played a friend and won a free kick on the edge of the box i decided to use this in a match for the 1st time. But when i pressed x he just passed it to a different player instead of under the wall. Is there another way of getting them under?

does l1 and r1 not just ajust the direction right and left?

Yup. R1 and R2 (as it were in PES4) now have nothing with power to do, but just shift the aim after the shotbutton is pressed. Holding it before and while pressing the shot button also does nothing.
