Free kicks in PES5...

Anyone else find them hard to pull off successfully?

I mean, I've played both WE9 and PES5 and I can definitely notice a difference between the free-kicks in both games.

They were definitely easier in WE9. I scored around 25 free-kicks with a range of different free-kick takers in WE9 in only one months play.

In PES5, I've only scored 1 measly free-kick despite playing the game for around 2 months.

And note that I've been playing on 5 *.

Anyone else having the same problems as me?

No, I think they are really easy one PES5 and at the moment I would normally score about 50% of the ones which are within 30 yards.

It's really odd.

I can't seem to score as many free kicks as I used to in WE9.

But, from what I've observed, I think it's something to do with the powerbar. I think you have to press the :square: button for longer in PES5.

But, it's still annoying anyway.

I'm talking about curlers.

You know, the Beckham and Recoba type free-kicks, not the Roberto Carlos type free-kicks.

I'm still finding it hard to score the curlers. I haven't tried the blasters yet but seeing as it's a bug, I might just try it.

Layoff is by pressing L2 and then L1 and X at the same time. Also free-kicks are much easier. I still have problems scoring free-kicks right on the edge of the box tho, miss to many from there, but on the whole most my free kicks go close or go in. Need to make it harder for pro evo 6.

i think they are much easier than pes4, i can score about 65% in around 30 yards. I use different kickers for different distances, 20-30 i use henry, further out i use lampard.

i have to admit the freekicks r much more easy on PES5 den any other versions.... but overall.. mass improvement in the gameplay... pushing the game to furthur realistism... job well done by Konami..

In my average matches i will most likely score about 3/4 within 30-35 yards.

Try and say this in a game mate! - I'd like to play you some time.. I play PC and PS2, look out for "Schmutz"

i like them its more realistic... top players can convert them in real life and so should be able to do it in the game...

i score a 35 yrd screamer to level a game in injury time after Pires being chopped down, wat a feeling :)
