Good work...but all i want from PES on 360 is a little better gameplay and better online. Oh and a small edit mode to make transfers. Thats all i need for next year.

I think this info is great and helps me choose which game to get next even though last year i got both :p but anyway it will be hard to get both because they are £50 per game.. but i really like the way he is talking about us playing as the ref! Haha that will pull some laughs in online matches..

Are the screenshots from the new pes? i hope not because they are just the same as the curent 360 version. But the talk abt player movement likeness is really back as it's been lacking in the current 360 version as well.

The screenshots are from the current pes6, not the new pes7.

I have readed that konami has made a contract with FiFpro to license all the leagues they gonna use in PES7...and that's a lot! also they have sponsors Nike & Adidas :D

i surely hope that's true. But to say the truth, EA uses the license better than konami, maybe players' graphics in FIFA aren't that good, but the overall feel of the match and the kits are always better than Winning eleven ( my opinion isn't related to the overall product from both games ).

from gamespot:
Focus shifts to new features for FIFA 08
Tweaking the formula is what keeps annual sports games in business. This year, EA Canada will focus on gameplay features for its flagship soccer franchise, FIFA 08. Listed as part of the new feature set are improved artificial intelligence, a more realistic shooting mechanic, user-defined moves, and the inclusion of 620 rosters, 30 leagues, and more than 15,000 players. In addition to its manager mode, FIFA 08 will pack in a new mode, titled Be a Pro. Gamers will work to improve the skills of a single player on their roster, in what sounds similar to superstar mode from recent Madden iterations.

Well, I am happy they finally moved away from 8-way and atleast give us 16-way digital control.

Also, Very nice to hear of the "Foot Placement" technique. It is these types of changes that give alot of realism to the game. In PES6 the players feet were constantly sliding around in almost every move. it's tyhe kind of thing you might get used to, but it always gives the game a sense of weirdness seeing feet slide around on the grass.

As for the rest, it's pretty vague as always. We'll know for sure when actual gameplay starts being demoed.

But so far, atleast the yhave corrected 2 of my biggest complaints, Analog running and proper foot placements. These are 2 pretty basic things that really needed addressing before they consider adding more advanced features.

I used to have FIFA 98 and then FIFA 99...Then when 2000 came out it all went pear-shaped for the series in my opinion, so my mate brought round a game called Pro Evolution and I've stuck with it ever since. I have a feeling though FIFA are on the rise again, and there is a real chance PES might soon be pissed on. To be honest I really don't care, and I couldn't care less about the tedious rivalry. I'm a gamer wanting a great footy game, that's all. I'll try them both at first, and whichever one I like most that will be the one I'll get.

Cover Stars

It may not come as a great surprise after FIFA 07 was named the best-selling title of 2006 that FIFA 08 has been confirmed by EA Sports. The latest game in the series will be coming worldwide this autumn to the Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable, Nintendo DS, PC, PlayStation 3, Wii, and mobile phones.

Ronaldinho , cover boy!
Barcelona midfielder Ronaldinho will feature on the front of FIFA boxes for the third time in a row, alongside various other players across Europe. Miroslav Klose of Werder Bremen will also be on packaging in Germany, Sergio Ramos of Real Madrid in Spain, Andreas Ivanschitz of Panathinaikos FC in Austria, and Tranquillo Barnetta of Bayer Leverkusen in Switzerland. Florent Malouda of Olympique Lyonnais and Frank Ribery of Olympique Marseille will appear alongside Ronaldinho on the cover of the game in France. His cover mates for the UK and US will be announced next month.

The listed stars will also be motion captured for the game, which will be developed by EA Canada in Vancouver.

Fifa hasn't been decent since 2002! last years 07 was decent, 08 is looking about the same! i'd have to play it to give a proper judgement! It'll always be PES for me anyways. Especially if pes7 turns out to be everything people are hoping it will
