General Consensus (Difficulty/Speed/Assists)

Curious to see what everyone is using for their difficulty/speed/assists.

I want a realistic experience where the bad teams play like their real life counterpart and not like a great club.

I'm on the PC version. Top Player/-1/no assists.

If you want some clubs to be truly rubbish, then I don't know, Regular probably you should use. What do you define as rubbish though, remember any team can beat any team especially in the Premier League for example?

I can't decide over these settings, I keep changing things up. I prefer -1 speed but the ball physics seem a bit odd and some players are way too slow on their turns, 0 seems too fast to me still but I do play a lot online so I dont want to get used to -1 so Im sticking to 0.

As for the pass assist, I want to play all manual with zero bars but I feel that Im at a bid disadvantage vs online players using Barca or Real with full assist so I have it on default 3 bars..... for now.

As for Difficulty, Superstar seems to be the best and most balanced one.

have not played offline yet, but 0 seems to have slowed down a lot, so probably a case of me getting used to it. I play manual 2nd player, zero pass assists bars, and no assists other than defensive clearances (which im changing next time I get on the PS3 as it can cause issues with possession when they clear totally free of pressure)

For those playing superstar, was Pro really easy? I find that after I score they just attack on me and I only have 2 defenders, but when I attack they have 10 defenders on the box. They can score easily. Im on PC playing in Pro in -1, 2 bars assisted passing.

hey, I thought it felt slower yesterday as well, but I thought it was just me. Lets get some games in tonight if you'll be on ya?

i took myself out of the community as i don't wireless lag to ruin the enjoyment of you fella's...i played a few last night and it was pretty crap to the point it seemed like i had a 3 second delay with what i was trying to do and the player responding. unfortunately my Ps3 is in the living room with my big tv, and my uverse box is in my office as I have my wrk laptop wired to it.

Pro / -1 / no assist.

Although no assist still seems to be assisted at some points specially through balls.

which one is more realistic, professional or superstar.
When i say more real, i mean less scripted and teams play like their real life counterpart and not like barca or spain

I really can't decide these things either. Started witn 0 pass assist, but it was too difficult apart from through balls which are awesome this way. However passing the ball around on smaller areas are colpletely impossible. So i changed to 3 as well - works fine so far.
Regarding superstar, is it very scripted DIECI?

This is what I was playing for the longest. I went up to SS because someone said it was the most realistic, but I found that mediocre teams became super teams. But, the goals were very satisfying on Superstar, so maybe I just need more practice.

I think I am going to settle with this, and take my beatings like a mayyyyan.

SS, -2, no assists.

can someone explain to me what pass assist actually means??

its in the curser options, it is set to 4/5 by default.

5 = being totally assisted - meaning the AI will make you opass to a team mate pretty much regardless of how much power/aim

0 = Hardly any assistance - your passes will go where you aim the stick. Although some AI is still used here - I beleive this is where players passing stats really come into there own.
