Goalkeeper with 1 on 1 finishing?!

Recently I discovered a gk with 1 on 1 finishing. If I remember correctly it was Eduardo from Portugal.

Surely a mistake? I can understand gk's having penalty taker but 1 on 1 finishing? This gk doesn't have CF or any other extra outfield positions so I wonder how Konami messed this up?

I can think of 2 reasons:

1) They were supposed to give him "1 on 1 keeper! but accidently gave him "1 on 1 finishing".

2) Somebody saw the name "Eduardo" and assumed it was the Croatian striker.

Anyway, don't be surprised that Konami have made a mistake. They've made plenty before. In the past, they've spelt "weight" wrong, put "Reo=Coker" instead of "Reo-Coker", and in this version, they gave a striker (Erding of Turkey/PSG), 80 in defence - see my thread.

I can remember a few mistakes too (that Reo-Coker one was so dumb lol). Best one I can think of was I think in PES 6, a defender from AZ called Fortes Rodriguez had a Z stuck on at the end of his name after a bunch of spaces. So his name looked like this:

(replace full stops with spaces as it doesn't seem to work on this forum)

yeah but this is one of the things that makes PES sooooooo good I mean who wants accurate player names or stats when we could edit them ourselves, I mean if you want those boring things go play FIFA

I guess it was an unintentional attribute, I'm not sure he ever gets the chance to display this skill on the pitch.

Have you had the chance to look yet? I checked his career stats on wikipedia, he switched to RBC Roosendaal in the 04-05 season, so if you or anyone else wants to look for him, make sure you check that team. (its also a Dutch team in case anyone is unsure)

Yeah, I had a look, couldn't see it. So unless I'm being a bit blind, there might be a difference between our versions of the game?

Not sure, I had the European version for xbox 360.

Anyway, I might have a look sometime when I go to finish up them leagues to get my 1000/1000 for the game.

You lot obviously dont know your football, he always dribbles it outside his area and scores plenty of goals, so one on one finishing sounds about right. You should all youtube some of his goals
