I switched from fifa 09 to PES 10, I love the graphics in this game. It's just a shame that the game is very arcadey and robotic. The next installment needs smoothing out a lot. And also a lot more DLC content, I don't even mind paying for it either. Oh and USB file transfer support on xbox 360

Mate, i had the game a day before release yeah, and the fifa forum was rife with gamebreaking bugs, shit like players you loaned out to other clubs being sold on without your permission, losing players due to not being able to get them to sign a contract. You can find the other 60 or 70 on the ea forum, they are all documented.

Not sure if these are all bugs, but here a list i found in about 2 seconds.

1. The Manager Mode is crap. The options are limited, and it's strewn with silly bugs.
2. After season 3, unless you're lucky, your team ends up 2 Billion in debt, so that's game over.
3. In MM, I have signed players and they have then just dissappeared out my squad without me knowing.
4. Also in MM, the transfer system is terrible. No matter what player you put up for sale, some club will sign him. This is so unrealistic.
5. Goal variety. It might just be me but nearly every goal on FIFA is a one-on-one.
6. Assists in MM. My 'keeper kept getting about 30 a season even though he wasn't making assist!!

There are loads more including the amount of times the ball hits the ref. The game has loads of bugs and flaws.

PES10 ain't perfect and it doesn't play as well as the older PES games but until Konami sort themselves out, which I am sure they will, it's still a better game that FIFA.

Personally, in the terms of core gameplay, I would say FIFA> PES all day long since at least fifa 09.

However, the above are all very valid points, and I totally see why this would piss someone off enough into playing pes. I think point 6 was fixed in a patch, but yeah, the bugs are disgrace.

Have you tried the fifa world cup demo yet? Give that a whirl for free I would say, the general consensus at the moment is that it will be the best next-gen footy game ever released...at least until we find the gamebreaking bugs in that game too.

At least PES may not be perfect but it works and has no gamebreaking bugs like -2billion after 2 seasons etc

Forget fifa 10 for a sec, try it out and see what you think, not much different but i think the gameplay is better from what ive played.

It's better, but way way way too many one on ones for my liking. It's seems like it's made for noobs.

Anyway, the final game will have a higher difficulty setting, so that might be better.

kinda the same in pes, even in the earlier versions, having said that, in fifa 10 it was just nuts, they need to sort out the goal variety, we all know that, that and player indviduality are some of the major flaws in fifa, the individuality i wanna see sorted now, its nuts, you cant feel enough of a difference between players. Also, fifa gets samey after a while, the more i think about it the more i think fifa 09 was the defining moment, it just had something about it despite the flaws.

There is no data ..none at all that even shows that PES 2011 will be any better than PES 2010. As a matter of fact their next release set for Japan has no improvements at all just an addition for Japan to chase the world cup. Second release will be here in the US and the UK and will be a platinum version..again no improvements at all but cheaper.

We need to stop making stuff up for Konami. I cant tell the last time I saw anything substantial from Seabass/Konami about PES 2010 or even 2011. Everything that i have read has come from fans who hope (like the last 3 years) that this release will be great......guess what ...it wont. Not until we start seeing updates and upgrades for PES 2010 to make the game better, then we can decide if 2011 will be better as for now PES 2010 will be released as 2011. If the Superstar difficulty is reserved for Winning Eleven this year too, then PES is already failed in my opinion, and those hidden attributes reserved for the Japanese players are also pretty fucking annoying.

I don't know what you're aiming at here, but most of those mind blowing news from last year was infact true. PES2010 delivered in many aspects, but some of the flaws were just too big so it overshadows some of the major improvements that PES2010 has over previous versions.

1. Player movement is probably a bit too sluggish, but still better than the mechanical movement of pes2009.

2. The team sliders is a great asset to the game, and can be used to emulate different playing styles of real football teams.

3. The index cards are nice, but not a great improvement over the previous system, but it's nevertheless an improvement.

4. The graphics is a small improvement too, and the animations are a bit smoother but basically the same.

The arrow is pointing in the right direction, because the errors of PES2010 is so obvious that only a half-wit would do them twice, and I seriously doubt that the devs are that stupid.

I will not nail my money on a EA sports game, despite fifa10 being the best fifa released so far. Despite it's flashy details and close controls dribbles I find it too much "railroading" for my taste. In PES2010 I haven't scored two identical goals in god knows how long.


Edit: I was very disappointed with PES2010 when I first tried it, but it grows on you if you edit enough team sliders and pump up everyones agility and response. The PES2010 I am playing today has only one big problem really, the referees.

Not really because despite the fucking sliders, all the cpu teams play barca football and you cant build up through midfield as much, its a fucking run and shoot fest still, i cant be assed to go in depth, but the core gameplay is fucked, the fact you can make a few players make a run or sit back doesnt change that for me.

As i have said time and time again.

1) If you wanna talk turkey, imo....Only close up, out wide, fifa looks better.
2) Honestly I couldnt give a fuck about graphics anways, PES was all about REALISTIC GAMEPLAY not graphics, that fact the pes marks are now resorting to talking about graphics shows you how shit this series has become.

Pound for pound i think fifa 09 was better, and ive score indentical goals in pes loads of times, this whole goal variety is pes in totally overplayed and overrated, a bit like the so call individuality, when in actual fact, in pes i can make xavi like passes with gattuso, and all cpu ai teams can pass it about like barca no problem. in these departments, yes its probably better than fifa, but the pes marks over play it so much
