The problem is the coach always keeps me on the bench even tho im alot better then anyone in the NT ( the country is quite shite ).
Problem is the line up for the NT has none of my positions, so every positions in the line up are the ones my player doesn't play.
Seems no matter what the line ups in BAL will remain the same even when im clearly so far beter then everyone else, the coach keeps the same positions in the line up lol.
So what should I do ?
Quite a bit of racism here, always nice to see /facepalm.
Truth to be told, you're a bit shafted. Your best bet is to restart your save, of hope that you'll pick up a different position as you play on.
I try and research how the national team plays before I pick a nationality for my player. Or I just outright change the formation before starting the save, if I really want to play on a specific position.

Spot on. I would not worry too much about detailed strategies if you just change stuff for BAL, though. Just change formation for the (1) strategy. The other three seems to be ignored, and the manager never keep your picked strategy anyway. He will change to Long Ball if he is satisfied with a draw, quick counter if you're behind and all out defense if you lead.
A good thumb rule is to position wide players really wide, almost at the sideline. Strikers at the edge of the area, to avoid too many long balls being punted to a lone striker. Make sure there is not too much or too little wide open spaces between defense, midfield and attack. Three straight (def, mid, att) horizontal lines is a bad idea in other words.
I've made a few quick maps shown below; Note that CMF and DMF can easily operate in each others territory. CMF can also easily operate in AMF territory. I just forgot to note it on the picture.
A rough estimate on where to put each position, I guess most of us already have that part covered.
Try to create triangles or strategic lines, with just the right amount of space between, to create passing options as shown in the Barcelona example further below.
A 4-4-1-1 (can easily transform into 4-4-2) Tottenham example;
Barcelona example, note how Messi's position can change between two similar strategies, but still do more or less the same job.
All of these examples are thoroughly tried by me in BAL, and works well. It varies a bit due to AI managers choice of strategy, but Possession, Counter and All out Defense works very well with this, Long ball is a hit and miss as usual. Just remember, triangles with a sensible amount of space between equals passing options.
You will eventually learn the position that your national team plays you in.
I'm a SS and English. I was getting brought on in the second half as a CF.
I now have the CF position and start for England.
Its actually a good thing to play for a team without your position as it means you will learn a new one.
