Hardcore players opinions here, Pes5 too easy?

I've been playing quite a few games of pes5 demo (no voice) now and it seems like it's still too easy on five stars. I guess I've lost maybe twice so far. Seems like if you just defend patiently enough you manage to score that vital first goal after which the comp starts to attack too much and give you just more scoring chances. Is this so in the released game too? If so, I'm not sure if I'm buying it.

If you have lost (twice ffs), it's not too easy. And yes, the gameplay in the retail is quite different from the demo, demo was easier, a bit. If you want difficulty play with the ML default team. Or just find a decent human oppopnent, shouldn't be a problem with internet.

And also, I dont think the amount of stars affects to the real difficulty, atleast between 3 and 5 stars (haven't tried 6 yet, anyone got a cheat to get more PES points?). I beat the CPU just as good on 3 stars as I do it with 5 stars, the CPU just plays different style. On 3 stars it plays more simple, that's why I prefer 5 stars.

Isn't this how it works in real-life too?

I have just bought it today and the bloke in the shop was telling me (For some unknown reason, but i feigned interest in his life) That it was really good and 'bloody difficult'. PES4 was rock hard for me when I got it, I had to cheat by maxing all of Chelsea's stats to 99 and playing in a english default league cos I kept on getting wouped by the CPU.

Well I think the demo IS too easy. The losses were on some of the first games I played. I'm just gonna check out what the reviews say about it and how the online game works. Anyone tried it online? How is it? Is it still very laggy?

I've found the full version to be a tad more difficult. Or so it seems - I haven't played the same type of matches as in the demo yet.

PES is best played two-player against an equally matched opponent, don't you think? The computer becomes kinda predictable after a bit.

Full game, isn't harder, just different. The CPU is harder to break down. You know this when after fifteen ML game's you're 6th with the normal Newcastle team, after beating Man U 4-1, Arsenal 3-1 but losing 2-1 to Boro and WBA...!!!

After playing some 15 games or so I find that PES5 is definitely harder than PES4 though I can defend better. Perhaps I have not got used to the controls. One thing is for sure, your striker can beat the defender on a run. I have tried it with Thiery Henry. He outpaced two defenders and scored a beauty. Currently I am kind of disappointed with the low scoreline. I have a much better defensive record when compared with PES4 but my scoring record has been abysmal. The same goes for CPU. Their scoring record is also not good when compared with PES4. Your personal scoring record looks impressive, are you playing at the more difficult level?

Its a lot more difficult. And that is a good thing. Scoring will get easier I think, because, sometimes when you shoot from angles that would have been impossible on 4, they somehow wiggle through on 5.

Also with regards to the demo, the teams in it are good.

Try playing against a good team with a pony one, then you will see how hard it is!

i find it hard... even on like 3 stars.. i'm still getting used to the playing style.. it felt llike a big jump from pes4.. like the plays and things.. i find it hard to dribble passed people as you lost the ball in pes5 but in pes4 you still have more control on it.

I dont think its easy but its not exactly hard ive been beat one but i have drawed 5 times. I agree with the person that said the computer can be unprodictable it can spring a game into your hands very quickly and with the teams you less expect to give you a good game.

when i play on 3 stars the game is generally tighter and harder to break down the cpu defence. but on 5 stars it a lot easier to score goals but they are a lot better going forward and the match is a high scoring match

Hi all,

I bought the full version and I must say that graphics are way better than the last version. They have improved several things but there is one thing I really don't like and that makes me still prefer the PES 4 :

Movements of players were more fluid in PES4. Now, it is harder to move them. In attack, it is still playable but when it is about defending, I have the impression that players don't react fast enough.

Well it is my opinion ...

Oh ... one more thing ... with PES4, when I was playing 2 stars I was winning 7 or 10-0 against the CPU. Now, depending on who what team I am playing against, I can't win more than 4-0 (even if i won 7-0 twice, but only twice).

On 5 stars, it becomes really interesting because the CPU is a lot harder to beat than in PES4, but still beatable though. I started play the Master League with 5 star ... and omg ... I had fight a lot ... grrrr ... which is good.

So, PES5 better ... yes ... but a real shit about movements of the players (which the most important for me) ... stupid japaneses !!!

not one for realism then?

Well maybe I just got lucky winning so many games in demo.. I just bought the full game and it seems a bit harder eaven though I think the players move a bit more fluidly. Anyone else noticed that or am I just imagining things?

scoring seems to be too easy, only the defending bit is hard O__o, i always win 4-3, 5-4...the computer's counter is too quick and their shooting accuracy is too high..

I feel the game is a little harder though i have been winning most games. I just recieved my Max Drive today so i will try it out on 6* and i agree with the fact that the comp can spring a great game out of you especially when they sit back for most of the first half then suddenly find a burst of energy then it's game on.

Great the best yet:D
