A bit like fifa 09 really, where many people actually thought it has 16 way movement because the turning animations were much more advanced than pes.

FIFA 09 has 16 way movement when you sprint. It only has 8 way movement when you don't sprint.

I don't know but from that build, in fifa 10, you still can't beat a defender with moves. In reality C.Ronaldo is surley much faster to make moves with the ball. Fifa can never understand this. You can't feel like you're playing with ronaldo because of that.
But aaprt from that major things which I can't fully comment about (since it was a build), the gameplay looks better than in fifa 09. Not much difference though (because it's a build).

You can, it just takes more skill than those morons playing it have, people complain of not being able to do it in fifa 09, but while i agree it is difficult, it can be done with timing and tapping the sprint button in the correct intervals rather than holding it down.

But i see why fifa make it really hard to do it, and i like it, it makes the game less end to end and one man cannot take entire teams, it also makes it a bit special when you pass two players and tuck it in.

But I agree its a bit OTT.

however the video comparision is about MOVEMENT and PHYSICS for me.

If you notice the little tiny animations in that fifa build, such as player slipping when caught off balance, the jossliing, its very good, the ball physics are even better as well, the ball bounces and bumps along the ground.

I dont wanna get into this just yet, i wanna see pes @gamescom and then see, but the key to fifa's 360 movement being fluid and looking natural, isnt just the 360, its the collision dectection and physics engine package that comes with it, the jossliing, the improved tackling, the defender now being able to square up one on one with an attacker whilst the attacker tries to send them one way and then move another, that all compliments it too.

You have not understood what he was saying here, not that you can or can't but the individuality of each player, beating a player with Ronaldo shouldn't be exactly the same as doing with Ferdinand

I agree about dribbling but still it is really hard and I get way too angry because Messi or ronaldo can surley make it much easier than it is on fifa 09. Even when I time my moves excactly, either because or responsivness (which was lacking in 09) or because of super AI defending (press X and you take the ball many times , though fifa 09's defending is really good once you get the hang of it), I still can't beat a defender.
Responsivness being the biggest problem. If that is fixed I would be extremely happy. Also the dribble speed is somewhat nonexistant because of what I said about ronaldo and messi and kak (being much faster in reality with the ball).

my gripe is not speed, it is dribbling no matter how slow or fast a player is, u should be able to dribble. Look at Zidane he was slow but could use his dribbling skills and ball manipukation to beat any defender. If Zidane were in fifa he would feel like any other player, rahter than the greatest from the modern generation.

i know there arnt especially centre backs, toure is one of the fastest center backs and Ronaldo is a lot faster as seen in the champions league semi-finals. Also having recently seen Antonia Valencia in pre-season i think he is faster

its not really a small minus, players depend on the certain abilities, players like Messi are about pace, dribbling, close control amongst other attributes. You cant have a game without that nullifies those attributes. Fifa 09 is a quality game, but this is a major issue. At the moment Pro has more major issues. This year is a big year as I think PES 2010 is going to schock people this year. Im going to stick my neck out, I just have a feeling this is its year, we'll know at gamescom

Dani Alvez, Ashley Cole, and maybe Maicon or Sergio Ramos... and many other defenders that I'm forgetting. You now, Cristiano Ronaldo is not super-human, some footballers have just about the same speed.

And besides that, Fernando Hierro, Franco Baresi, Paolo Maldini, Carles Puyol, Rio Ferdinand, John Terry, Carvalho... defending is not about being 'faster' than the opponent, is about anticipating the oponent.

So I really don't see why Ronaldo should sprint past any defender... that would be unrealistic. If that's what you mean.
