Hi ive got a JVC HD TV and an Xbox 360 and since getting the new pro was wondering if getting a HDMI cable would make a worthwhile difference?

Does it?

and could anyone recommend a HDMI cable because I've heard some are much ebtter than others?

thanks

Go to monoprice.com and buy cables from them. HDMI is a standard so for our purposes every one will be the same. I bought my cables from them for like 3 bucks as opposed to 50 bucks that they want in stores. Same, if not better quality too.

HDMI cables for the most part all give the same results. The marketing of certain cables is far greater than the difference between products. I just use the £35 Xbox one.

First off, both Pes and Fifa only runs at 720p. Only HDMI can run 1080p.
Second, like byrnie says they all give off same quality, but the more expensive ones are much more durable. If you have rodent trouble or pets that like to chew maybe get something decent, otherwise just get the cheapest you can find.

Bottom line, if it's just for Pes you're better off with component cables if you already have them. Hope that helps.

Pes isn't 720P. I play on 360 with component cable at 1080P and the picture is amazing. I have always wondered if HDMI makes a difference or not though.

Seems you're right component can do 1080p but just for games not movies. I don't have an xbox so I was under the impression component can only do 1080i my apologies.

Pes is definitely 720p for Ps3 but I just read it can do 1080p for 360 so my apologies again

same here
the colours seem more vivid and the blacks darker
and for runnin at 100hz it is better to splash the cash

anyone know where to get a GOOD HDMI cable for about a tenner? I bought one for roughly £4 and it's hell!

When I'm playing online it'll randomly freeze my tv screen
= I have to switch my tv/skybox/dvd player off at the main
= my opponent runs up the pitch and scores.

@maverick. How is your PS3 connected to your telly then?
Go to your display settings on your PS3. Then to video output settings. Select "HDMI" then select "Automatic", which will then give you the maximum resolution and select "Yes" and voila
