Ive been playing the game for what now! its nearing a year soon and ive only scored like 3 headers and they were tap in's at that! I was wondering ..well how to header properly when it comes to corners especially.No matter which player i am they always tend to header it over the bar,past the post or into the keepers hands! any tips would be appreciated :D

To be honetst i have no bloody idea either!! I keep firing in realy good crosses but my players seem to always either head stupidly wide or over the bar! How the bloody hell do you do it?

When you put a cross in from open play make sure you use the double square cross, it is far more effective.

From corners, I usually pass, you have a far greater chance of scoring.

Ive started passing now aswell from corners but i just wanna be able to score decent goals with the head like i did it PES3 most of the time! In Pes4 i just tend to use Through balls to score with a little bit of a lob at the end but that gets boring :( lol but anyways the heading is way too hard even from open play! hope its fixed in Pes5! anymore tips are welcome :D

Aye, it's double circle. Sorry about that, I use square for crossing and circle for shooting.

i guess you've converted from fifa then!?

I score loads from headers Nike, do training mode and cross it in again and again, you'll never be able to define exactly when and what duration to press square for, with this game everythings about natural ability :)

I use the entire FIFA config. The old one anyway, I think they changed it to copy PES nowadays.

As for headers, from corners I either aim for the front post and have someone racing in to knock it home (use R2 to manually move your player). Or to the back post and pass head it back across goal. From the wing, like 50! said use the double tap.

I always manage to get quite a few headers. Something that is always overlooked is the need to buy taller players. Taller players means more headed goals!

Thanks for the tips ,I'll keep them in mind when i play it later tonight. One Question though! Does the Heading and Jumping Stats Affect the Accuracy?

Make sure your forwards are tall enough. Even if they have a 99 in Heading and jump stats if there too short they won't reach it anyway!For tall strikers I suggest: Vaz Te (Ranza), Blackstock, Mido, or Ibrahimovich. I persoanally love Ranza. Once developed he is a superb striker. My strikers are Carlos Tevez and Vaz Te and Vaz Te owns at headers. I've also had Blackstock from Southampton on a previous ML and he is fantastic! An overlooked star.

Adriano is king when it comes to headers. Him and Pomatski have been holding down the fort for a while now. Both have amazing headers, plus they can reach the crosses quite easily.

Well I have a problem. Double tap on circle en then push the shoot button that's true. But my problem is the striker. I play with two wingers and a striker. When I give a high pass with the double circle button then my striker (Kluivert) not always gives a header because he is sometimes too late or is not on the right path or is being blocked. Only maybe 1 of 6 high passes he finishes off. My other friends don't need that much chances to score with a header and the play even with players like Ronaldo who CANNOT give a header. Ronaldo is always lose from his opponont defender. I think it has to do with the stars like Reaction or Line positioning or Positioning. Who knows which stars a striker must have so he can stand free and header well, or just increase the chance of getting a good header?

What hitman says is true. also consider where you want to cross the ball. a well aimed cross can see a player do a bullet header or a great diving header. :) keep practising :)

same here :lol: last Fifa I played was 99 and I just couldn't shake off the controls.

Thanks for the tips on the double tap Circle cross, Ive been doing it for most of the day 2day and ive scored like 8 in 10 headers, so i'd say my games improved a lot now ;)
