Holding R2 during a free kick makes the shot softer and therefore adds more curl on the ball.

R1 does a harder shot with less curl.

This time in WE9.....if you want a hard/powerful shot you press []+U and then when you get the right power you want hold /\

If you want a weaker shot you hold []+D til you're happy with the power and then you hold X.

and i never heard about the curling with analogue sticks before... is that true?!

Well I'd say its confirmed since it tells you that in training mode....and when you have a free kick if you go to the help section.....never heard of the analogues either-fake probably.

both options work, both options work well, just find the one you like to use the most

doesnt anyone think that the curl is drasticly unrealistic...

if you see how much a shot curls in real life, the game is so lame... same with crosses aswell... it should curl a hell of a lot more...

in the game, the ball hardly curls at all but in real life, layers like beckham etc use the curl effectively to whip in crosses or bend it round the keeper
