Im trying to find out how to "cut the grass" with the ball when using players like R.Carlos in free kicks?

Whenever using square and the direction button down it always lifts all the ground. I tried using Circle and the direction button down but its too slow.

Anyone know how to get the ball to go along the ground at power?

depends,from over 30m you can only really get a corner but i scored 2 freekciks online now,one was with sneijder and it was on an angle too the left of the goal so the wall was on the left,instead of hitting it over the wall and into the left corner i rocketed it into the right hand corner,where the keeper is closer but his power is like 90 odd and i didnt put swerve on.i hold up and when the bar is on also press y or triangle 4 ps2.i think if you dont curl it you can get more power but the bar differs
