How are you doing in Master League?

Arnautovic and Foti have been godlike for me, and both will still be young enough in your second season to really develop them. Both 1.92m and can play CF and SS (Arnautovic can also play AMF and I think WF), one right footed, one left footed. I've given Foti Fox-in-the-Box and Dummy Runner, while Arnautovic has Trickster and Goal Poacher, as well as at least one skill card. Foti cost me well under £1m in my first season.

If you want to try to bag somebody already fairly developed, there's always Gignac, though he's not quite as tall. Total battering ram and becomes an absolutely lethal finisher, and keeps developing till he's nearly 30!

Where do I go to train my players to get "fox-in-the-box" and other skills like that? So far, I've been training some of my players to be better passers and 1-on-1 finishers with skill cards.

ML is booooooooooring, It's my 8th season and for 6 in a row I'm winning everything without a problem. Last CL final ended up 9:1 for me. Boooring as boring anything can be.

back on track with me.. breeezed past real madrid. i was rather surprised when i trumped them 5-1 in the first leg and then 1-0 in the second.
i then managed to only just beat liverpool 2-1 in the league. they could have scored 2-3 goals if it wasnt for the post and the keeper reacting fast
got an out of the blue offer for evra so i accepted. going to try sell valencia in the summer

almost finished the end of my second season now, had a comfortable 2-0 against chelsea to lift the cup, a 3-1 win against liverpool to win the champions league and then a 1-0 win against tottenham and 3-0 win against arsenal in the league.
valencia is on the transfer list and i am also pondering future sellings, might end up selling vidic and fletcher either halfway through or at the end of the 3rd season

nah it isnt a stupid question. yes and no is my answer. i aint totally sure how it works but in my first ml scholes was retired and came back in my youth team. only player who retired who didnt come back in my youth team is van der sar.

Man, I did that, started with default team, raised great players through Youth academy, only I'm not playing on Top Player, cause PES this year is half made and there is too much cheating on that level.

Can't train Playstyle cards. You have to add them in Edit. I've always updated ML players as they've developed stats that are associated with certain styles of play or special abilities.

Winjaldum.You'll spend max 5mil on him, add 3 cards and you'll see that he's worth every penny spent on him.

only other thing i can think of is then start with a lower team and when buying players set an overall rating limit say 70 max and see if you can win constantly with a team with players no higher then that rating???

just started my 3rd season, rather quiet summer for me, sold valencia for £29 to athletico madrid, call it a gift after they gave me ageuro. haha.
seeing as scholes was gaining interest i put him on the list, maybe i will get a buyer and i can then decrease my wage bill and make way for new young midfielders.

at the end of the 3rd season i will be looking to sell vidic most likely, with barca scouting him for a bit i might get lucky. got my eye on a few defenders, same with fletcher, make the way for younger players. only older player keeping his place is owen for just the mental scoring record. he scored 27 goals in the league in my second season

first game in my 3rd season against liverpool was a tough one but i suceeded and had a comfortable win in the end with nani, macheda and rooney getting on the scoresheet

I've just been forced to release Baumann and Gutierrez to make room in my squad. Pissed off, no offers for either after two years (and no interest in any of the three other excellent players I hesitantly listed just in case!), even with them playing well and fairly regularly! That, and the players who were to get the open slots both turned me down for other clubs after my scout reported them as being "more than likely to come". :realmad:

I'm also massively annoyed that a bunch of players with high loyalty suddenly ALL want 3000% salary increases. Seriously, no player in the world is going to demand £2.5m when on £95k, and especially not 20-year-old youth teamers. I'm not Manchester City, ffs. I wonder if part of the problem is loan wages, as when I've loaned them out, their new teams have been giving them a LOT more than me. Wish I could renegotiate contracts at any time, like in real life. Would let me nip this in the bud.

Man, I just noticed that the update removed Foti from the game! My ML was started before I dl'ed the new DLC, so unless your game is an older one, he's gone. Sorry, should've checked before I suggested him! :^(

What is the players value? Usually they will demand a salary similar to their value. That increases as the player improves stats.

Update:

I'm now in my 2013-2014 Season playing as Liverpool FC... I've won all my games up to December now If this carries on, I will hopefully get the Perfect Season Trophy LOL...

My team is doing great, Torres(CF), Lucas(CMF), Kelly(CB), Crisito(LB) and Rasmus Elm (R/L/A/MF) are all on fire!

Torres is banging in the goals as usual... Enough said on him lol..

Lucas assists with a lot of the attacks and he is an amazing tackler... He has replaced Steven Gerrard who is about to retire any moment now...

Kelly has started most games this season and has done a great job replacing the old Jamie Carragher... Kellys stats are amazing, he is my best defender!

Crisito is a left back, he is easly THE BEST CROSSER I have ever used in a football game EVER and he attacks a lot too...

And Rasmus Elm and awesome, he's like my new Dirk Kuyt

What is the players value? Usually they will demand a salary similar to their value. That increases as the player improves stats.

I know. However, the "Tips" section in ML says value doesn't matter as much if the player has high loyalty (ie, they'll be happy playing on lower wages), which most of the guys in question do. My bigger complaint is that giant wage increases like that are unrealistic. I've got kids acting like they've become World Player of the Year! Wage demands should increase gradually, like in real life, unless the player becomes a superstar, major international, or some such.

5 games into my 3rd season and ive won them all. not yet sold scholes, that will come in january. with milan looking at fletcher i might try sell him too.
brought oclerphon from wondergrine town. 76OR for a 22 yo isnt too bad. i will see how his performance progresses over the season and if he doesnt fit in with play i might sell him too. he only cost me 1.2 million so i should be able to make a good amount back for him if he fails to fit in

come the end of the season my NOTTS COUNTY could have played a massive part in the standings as i've just scored a goal early in the second half ''AT CHELSEA'' then passed the ball between my defenders for the remainder of the game.

i'm currently in 9th place on 26PTS.

i'm also in the semi finals against LIVERPOOL with a possible final versus BOLTON or CHELSEA.
