How are you doing in Master League?

So I beat Wigan 3-0 in the middle of two Champions League semi-final legs to ensure I win the Premier League title for the second season running and with 8 games to spare. This gives me a perfect opportunity to give my bench players some games, however, with the unhappyness system, my starting XI will become unhappy so maybe not. Thats something PES offline Master League needs to sort for next year. Got through the semi-final of Champions League beating Juventus 7-1 on aggrigate, 4-0 home win in the first followed by a 3-1 win away. Manchester United in the final awaits for me, which is a cracking fixture, the two biggest rivals in English football battling for Europes biggest trophy. F.A cup final coming up against Manchester City and the treble has become even more possible thanks to me wrapping up the Premier League with games to spare. Still no offers for Fernando Torres so he may be staying put, but I am hopefull that in the summer some offers come in for him.

Luton Town FC - Season 3 - 2nd half

OK, maybe going the Chelski way with Pastore and Douglas Costa wasn't the smartest idea. Trying to find places for them in the squad, with only league matches to play didn't really work. The goals - where there weren't alot to begin with - dried up, as forcing the play through the new marquee names went against the tried and true, pinging it amongst the front four.

The team settled into an extended stretch of mediocrity, yet still managed to secure an Europa League spot for next season. With an additional competition and a run in the FA Cup, it should provide the opportunity to work in the new players and establish the cup starting 11. A new formation may be required now as well and some early season fiddling will be done for next year.

Always on the lookout for some £££ shop bargains, two new out of contract players were added down the stretch and two fringe players from season1 who never really took off, were sent to pastures new.

In:
CB – Sakho – PSG – Free
SS – Torun – Freidberg – Free

Out:
CMF – Sivakov - £1.180mil
CB – Mattsson - £1.432mil

Final Results
Luton Town 6th 15W 15D 8L 48+ 32-
League Best 11: Palmieri, Griezmann (assist leader)

Team Ranking: 89th to 59th

Considering starting a new Master League as Barcelona as I am bored of playing in the EPL and generally find La Liga more interesting. I'll sim the rest of my season at Liverpool and see if I win all three trophies, if I do great, if I don't then I don't really mind.

My Barca team would be;

--------------------------Torres------------------------------
----Villa--------------------------------------------Messi-----
------------Xavi-----------------------Iniesta-----------------
------------------------Xabi Alonso----------------------------
--Capedevilla----Pique------------Puyol---------------Alves----
-----------------------Valdes----------------------------------

Ins: Capedevilla, Xabi Alonso and Torres
Outs: Some of the weaker youth players on loan, and maybe Busquets on a perm deal.

Hi, new here but I thought Id share my experiences:)
I renamed and re-kitted PES United for my ML and took the default players on top player difficulty. My experience with them seems fairly similar to other peoples, I have been slowly releasing/ selling them since the start while keeping the younger more promising ones.
Like most I enjoy the idea of building up a young team into champions ( it seems most PES players have Arsene Wenger syndrome :p ).

After a rocky start I was able to finish on top of the D2 league and got promoted to the EPL. I was also pretty surprised to win the FA cup as well against Chelsea. Was a pretty crazy tournament were my QF, SF and Final all went into extra time. In the Quarter Final I went behind twice before getting through and in the final against Chelsea I went 2-0 down before leveling and then 3-2 down in extra time before eventually winning 4-3. People around me were wondering why I was smiling so damn much that day:p Pretty funny (and lucky if I'm honest) too as before the game I remember thinking that my only chance against Chelsea was to park the bus and scrap it out- yeah...so much for that plan.

My second season wasn't quite as eventful as that crazy FA cup, I started really well and ended up winning the EPL pretty comfortably by 10pts (I was at one stage 21pts ahead the big teams had shocker seasons :shocking:). I was so comfortable in the Europa League (FA cup winner gets into it apparently) winning almost every game, but somehow managed to lose the final against Ajax 2-1 :( My mood perked up though when I managed to retain the FA cup when I beat Liverpool 1-0 in final. Crazy ending to the game though.
Neither me nor the Liverpool ai had any real chances it was a real scrap. But with about 86-87 mins on the clock Carragher just...headed it into his own net. It was crazy, I didn't have any players anywhere near him! he tried to head the ball clear somewhere but it just kinda floated off the top of his head and over the GK. It was hilarious to be honest, it all seemed to happen in slow motion.

Just starting my third season now, I like were my team is headed and I'm making a reasonable amount of money. I don't think this EPL will be as easy though, I'm sure the big teams wont struggle as much this time round, their squads seem alot stronger, in particular Arsenal who seem to have some kind of super squad with CR7, Ibrams, Fabregas, Arshavin, Alonso ect.

Current First XI

Hi just continuing from my last three seasons with Swansea City, just want to recap saying In my first year I win the Division 2 by about 5 points comfortable in the end against Cardiff.

In my second season I had a tough welcome to the PL only just keeping my head above the water sinking to 18th towards the end of the season, and being indicated from some players that we have an inability to win which got me right up for the Chelsea game where we swept them aside with a giant-killing 2-0 win causing a flurry of good results to a tidy 14th spot.

Then in my third year there was a massively good improvement, entering the PL with confidence I made good signings in Coutadeur and Juan Mata to go along with Ternalbao in a 4-3-2-1 Formation. Finished the season winning the FA Cup and booking a spot in the Europa League.

Now I've delved into my Fourth Season, enjoying the football and exporting a couple of decreasing performance players to shift in a new era with Gyan, Insua, Criscito and Inkoom to really bolster the defences.

The fourth season has been a joy knocking in the second highest goal tally of 45 goals (15 of them being from Star Player Gyan) in 19 League Fixtures behind a strong Chelsea side who are now 3 points ahead leaving me in second spot, striding on towards the title without Arsenal and the lot.

Current First XI

-------------------------Gyan(85)------------------------
----------Ternalbao(84)------------Juan Mata(84)-----
Coutadeur(80)---------------------------------Allen(82)
------------------------Palacios(85)---------------------
Insua(78)----Criscito(79)-----Palmieri(88)---Inkoom(83)
------------------------Ustari(81)-------------------------

I see your point on that one but the little yellow frowny face you get doesn't mean there really unhappy, just there unhappy they didn't play the last game. You get about 5 or 6 player that "if there fit they expect to play" but your the boss so even if there unhappy about it, it's tough shit. when the red angry face starts turning up, that's when you need to rethink what your doing. I rest my players constantly when big games are coming up, a lot of the time not even have them on the bench, it doesn't hurt there affection for the club as much as you may fear.

Don't let the players run your Club, with the "I have to play him or he'll get upset," rubbish. Your not Man City (cough****Robiniho***cough)

On a note more on par with the thread title. I started a new ML on top player and for a bit of fun and pain, used the default players but never signed anybody, never brought any of the youth team players up (many of which are far superior to the players you already have) and made sure i picked a team with low ranking (5000 fans) so no moneys coming in.

My expectations for the upcoming season where obviously low, but the coffin dodgers of the default team are really proving there worth 8 games in and 6 wins and 2 defeats isn't a bad start. From thinking "let's not embarrass ourselves here lads" is slowly turning into a "Could we make it into the Premier League?"

I'm going to refuse to buy anybody ever and only bring new players in when players leave, and then only from the youth team.

I still have my normal ML running, but it's nice to have a change of pace rather than going into every game thinking "I should win this"

That's it, as long as the loyalty bar stays up, they can get pissy but won't look to leave. 2 of my back 3 automatically get  if they miss a single game, but were resigned. I even had Fatecha - my back up GK from the youth team - get to this :realmad: but he still resigned. Funny what a few £100k a season will do.

Zorac: nice one with the palette cleanser ML ;-) I'd get stuffed with the defaults in the premier league, but it might actually be a good way to improve my game.

Have you been playing Pelaez pretty much from the getgo? I've loaned him out the last two seasons - getting near the end of Season 4 - and he's just reaching 71. Guess it goes to show there is no substitute for playing loads of matches.

Yeh theres the yellow frowny face looks like :( which is usually if your playing a player out of position for a game of he has missed a few games that he could have played. Not a big deal just don't continue to let this happen to the same player

And theres the red frowny face that looks a little like :realmad:
That's when you need to fix it pronto, like your playing Gerrard in goal for half the season or something stupid.

I'm sure it will as you can't take anything for granted.

It's surprising how much you have to think while playing and not get frustrated when things aren't quite going your way, if you force the issue too much you'll get slaughtered, most players can't turn quick but some can, Minanda, Ximyles especially. I play a 4-4-2 system with wingers a dmf and a amf (Jaric, Minanda) I use an Opp Poss play-style and hardly ever run when i have the ball, there's no point trying to get forward too quickly as most of the players are slow and the one's that do have a splattering of pace end up being overwhelmed due to lack of options.

Passing is the name of the game but nothing over 10 yards if i can help it and always the way I'm, facing most default players can't do "around the corner passes", I pass back a hell of a lot even to my CBs just to keep the ball in my possession, giving time to get players up, use the wings then hit the pace to deliver a cross, move just outside the 18yard box to put in a through ball or if i have a bit of space have a shot.

I think because I have won just about everything I can in ML offline mode, with a team that's not exceptional just good, a new challenge is always welcoming.

Just moving into my 2013-2014 season now with Cardiff, last year won the UEFA cup and came second in the Premier League. I only use younger players and try to rotate the squad a fair bit. Squad as it stands (in a 4-4-2):

GK - Perin - Rating 84 - Age 20 (Fantastic young goalkeeper)
RB - Inkoom - 83 - 24
CB - Palmieri - 89 - 23
CB - Ranocchia - 82 - 25
LB - J.A. Fanchone - 84 - 25
RMF - Harmash - 79 - 23
CMF - Coutadeur - 81 - 27
CMF - J. Henderson - 80 - 23
LMF - Kieran Gibbs - 82 - 24
CF - Agbonlahor -82 - 26 (SO FAST!)
CF - Carroll - 82 - 24 (Market value gone from £450k to £5m!)

Also of note are Weis, Sturridge, Flum and C. Erkin.

Tottenham are main competition, with Mandanda, Van Buyten, Giovinco, and Adriano great signings for them. Arsenal also signed Asamoah Gyan and Ever Banega who have scored shed loads!

I'm not sure whether to start a new Master League as Liverpool when the DLC is released tomorrow and actually make sensible signings in the market. Anyway, here is my current team;

--------------------------Tsaktoyri------------------------------
--Johnson------Vanderbuurd-----Palmeiri-----------Bale-----
-----------------Xabi Alonso------Lucas------------------------
--Maxi----------------------------------------------Babel-------
--------------------------Silva-----------------------------------
------------------------Imbrahimovic---------------------------

Might just keep this ML and start a new save as the new one incase I get bored of starting from scratch. In PES12 ML I am going to start one ML and play that for the whole year as I keep flicking between different ML's atm...

Nice effort.

I just started a new ML season with default players, only I have allowed myself to use the youth team players only. Im planning on doing 10 seasons using only players produced from youth academy to try and win every trophy... should be fun!

Good luck.

For me started well in my 1st season then dropped off late on finishing 7th. Unfortunately my 2nd season has started poorly, only being able to bring 1 player in as only 1 retired, many of the older players have dropped a lvl and I have only won 1 of my opening 5 games.

Don't think i'll be getting promoted this season but as 4 players are retiring at the end of the season I can then bring in some youth team players.
