How do you aim your shots?

Is their a way to actual aim you're shots on PES12 left or right when you're one on one with the keeper? Without fail it always seems to go down the middle even when I hold left, or hold left after I press X (xbox 360). Even when I hold left and RT after X etc.. Is their anything you do so this can be achieved?

I've tried pressing X/square then holding R2/RT as well as the direction I want to go. Also I've tried holding R2/RT and pressing X/Square and the direction I want to go. But still goes straight to the keeper :(.

Ok I just played 2 games of Champions League with Ajax, and the aiming is indeed fucked up. I'm place all my shots in the top bottom corners and they go all straight at the keeper. Only way to score is passing the ball 2 meters before the keeper to your teammember...

When ever I go one on one with the keeper I cancel the shot and dribble past him, if not most certainly the keeper will stop the shot...

try chipping it as even if it is in the middle, it could go over the keeper. oR DO YOUR BEST PASSING IT FULL POWER IN THE NET

The more I play, the more I realize how broken this game is.

Did you know that using placement outside the box with Messi guarantees that your keeper won't hang on to the ball? Even if it bounces 3 times and he doesn't have to move for it. Or if it comes to him straight in the air, he will wait until the last second, and then punch the ball back in the middle of the six yard box.

But it doesn't matter anyway because the superstar forwards are actually the best defenders in the game!

IMO, this isn't even a good game. It's the same old with some new window dressing...

It's apparent Konami has no answers..

power bar, accuracy, technique none of it makes sense
when you shoot its either off target or straight to the keeper. If you are lucky you might score long shots but you just have to hope he keeper makes a mistake

I cannot agree with you guys. Go and play free training, and after a while you get the hang of it. Tips I can give you;
Its much more difficult to aim when you run fast
Its difficult to aim when ur face to face with the keeper, try to make sure you're in an angle with the goal.
Left foot players will be able to aim much better when they can curl with the left foot in the far corner of the goal. Ozil (left foot), will score much more likely when he dribbles in the right hand side of the box.

Training isn't a real match - you can do anything on training. btw, if someone puts you thorugh in a one on one, you won't have the time to stop running then go on the right or left side then make an angle with the goal then shoot precisely on professionnal, top player or superstar. What you just said will only work if a defender is far away from you or you are already standing still which rarely happens on pro, top player or superstar.

Professional is the most realistic because it is the default setting and it is PRO evo.

Hmm I can score more easily now, sometimes it helps using X+RT (xbox) but sometimes not. If I dont use RT shot will always go straight at keeper, so I guess RT does work somehow.

Only thing that has been slightly effective is if I'm clean through I make the player run to the right for example then press X then hold RT and left to go for the far post. But a don't get why Konami just add in the fact you can place you're shots like in Fifa!

I find shooting quite easy to be honest.... power up a shot and just before your player makes contact with the ball hold the left stick in the direction you want the ball to go. I'm getting plenty of goals online and I'm not even using R2/RT

Me too. The fact that it's different then in PES 11 does not mean its impossible. Keep on training and u will score sweet goals soon enough
