how do you defend effectively against crosses???

Crosses in this game are so easy to make, even under pressure by 2 defenders the winger still manage to cross a inch perfect ball! Online users often exploit this and the football game becomes a crossing game. Is there a strategy on defending against this lame "run to the byline with messi and cross then goal villa" tactic? I would love some tips, please! where should I set my defense slider and compactness slider?

Supercancel, and intercept the cross ahead of the strikers.

Sounds a bit easy to put it like that, but with some practice it's fairly doable. Corners are another story, though, as I bash into other players rather than making the intercept in most cases...

I keep those sliders between 8 and 12. Really low compactness only works if you run a very high defensive line and a compact midfield. (Think Barca) Otherwise everything becomes a moshpit, and it's just as hard for the defenders as the attackers to maneuver tbh.

So I've figured that when starting both at 10, raising one by 1 point, will lower the other by one point. Works for me. High defense line equals a compact team, and low defense line equals a widespread team. You have to adjust midfield positions to compensate and tighten defense in the latter.

tactics wies , set your compactness to wide, or /and place your LB and RB slightly wide on your formations menu.

thirdly is winning the header when its crossed.

defensively to win headers, you want to press L2 and the clear button(shoot), this way I find he heads the ball out far as opose to just heading it away near the box, where its close area to be volleyed back in.

use L2 to win these defensive headers on corners or when you want to defensively head a ball away from your side far.
