Have you tried to hold L1 and then press the square? It is a bit tricky as you easily fill the power bar to the max. The sensitivity of the shoot button has caused me a humonguous amount of irritation so far.

Close range when the keeper is rushing towards you and is about to dive: Tap on the R1/RB once while you are holding the shoot button. The power on the shot doesn't matter, it can go all the way or half.

Long range when the keeper is way in front of the goal post: Hold L1/LB and then press the shoot button. Use only when outside the 18 yard box.

I have problem with this one too.
I have a little confuse with long range. Hold L1 first then press shoot button? Is that right? or vice versa? Comment anybody?

that's what I do but even if I max out the power bar it doesn't go high enough...
But after millions of tries I think I got it when ur one-on-one with the keeper u should not be running(sprinting) u either should be standing still or running slowly>>>

Well it requires practice.

High Lob : Hold the 'Switch between players' key while you shoot
Low Lob : Shoot and while the bar is still visible press the 'Sprint' key

High Lob should only be used from outside the 18 yard box at first but when you master it, you can use it even when you're very close especially with players who have a high Curving/Swerve stat. The most important thing is the power. Too much it's outside, not enough it's in the goal keeper's hands.

Low Lob is very very useful in 1on1 situations. Many strikers score this way in real life when they're facing the keeper. Once you master it, you score everytime. The most important thing is the timing. You must wait until the keeper is either on his back or diving.

Its like the advertising slogan from Kick Off, the football game on the Commodore Amiga in 1990. (dont know it?, try Google, it was great for its time)

The slogan was:"Playing it is easy, mastering will take time......a lot of time..)

Just like lobbing, it takes time...
Try to practise it with a good player at the trainingground.

Goodluck.

Still struggling with this - even after reading the above. :( Any other advice?

Thats what I do aswell. Scored some absolute crackers from outside the box.

Its all about the positioning of the keeper.
