How to Relink chants Using Hex Editing

Ok i hear people on this website are wanting to know how to relink chants for different teams so i am here to help along with jayz123 with his tutorial so credit will go to him aswell as me for posting it so here it is:
Step 1:
For relinking of chants you need to hex edit the SLES file.

Use a program like Ultra-Edit 32 or HexWorkshop.

Open the SLES file with one of these hex editors. Locate byte 3004160, this is the start of the chant slots.

You will see Ausrtria is the 1st slot to be used, each slot uses 4 bytes per team. Austria has a hex value of B9. If you convert this with Windows calculator [scientific mode] to decimal you get 185. This number = the adx file number that slot uses for that teams chants. File 185.adx is Generic Euro chants thats why you see a few teams will use this value.

You only need to insert the hex value of the first adx file the team will use. Each team uses 5 adx chants files, but the other 4 will automatically follow the value of the 1st assigned adx slot.


I have highlighted the Premiership chant slots in the pic above you will see Arsenal is the 1st team and has a different hex value than the rest. It is because all the rest of the Premiership teams share a Generic Premiership chants apart from Arsenal & Man United.

Just insert your own chants into your 0_sound.afs, and change the values to use the adx slot you want to relink to.

Example you replace PES United with West Ham.

PES Utd = 245.adx convert to hex = 00F5

So in West Hams chant slot you insert the hex value F5 00 00 00 this relinks them to use the new chants you inserted in PES Utd slot.

Once you relink 1 team it is easy to do the rest

That helped me a lot to understand this, do you know if for we8/Pes4 it's the same? or does it changes? I realized that in we8 they too have 5 slots per team. I would be grateful if you could tell me where would be the starting offset. I'm keep looking forward.

nevermind, after 3-4 hours of scrolling,comparing carefully, I found the chants starting OFFSET for WE8i PC, it's at 005D2C9E starting with Austria. Soon will make a post at my blogger with details of each leagues. Thanks.
