hi all, there has been talk of the Champions league being in the master league, but if this is true, how would they do it? because master league only has 4 leagues, so it must have 4 groups instead of 8, and the knockout starts from 8 teams instead of 16, so really theres no way to have the official champions gruops of 8 etc, so considering they have the champions league license are they allowed to have it in wrong format like 4 groups instead of 8 etc, surely that would be mis using the license?

this goes for be a legend mode aswell

Very good question... unless they included more un-licensed leagues that can be played in the master league...i dunno how will it be included.....Maybe its a separate mode and you choose one of the 32 teams of this year's UCL, but then again, the trailer shows PES united winning the ML and the achievements include a making it to the UCL for the first time or something like that....

but

as discussed in another thread, wouldnt UEFA Champions League Debut heavily suggest you have to earn getting in the CL; in BAL and/or ML!? If one then surely both.

While it would be really nice to have in ML....i dont think it will hurt if it is no in there. I think having the mode itself is just awesome....

one thing im worried about tho....there was no SERIA A logo at the end of that awesome trailer.....oh well i gues ill have to do with a fake INTEr hehe

This shows that the ML still has european champiuonship, so I don't think CL will be in ML.
As for the debut, could it be that all you need to do is pass from the first stage, till group stage? That is still a debut.

^Didn't notice that.
As for the debut. It has only 10pts so it could be that when you first play the CL, it unlocks the achievements. I did some achievements by playing modes for the first time in other games and since it's only 10, it could be.

why is it such a big deal? I like that its a separate mode. Konami will eventually incorporate it into Master League , I have no doubts about that. But for PES 2009 having it separate is just fine for me.

I really cant believe PES fans man. All this good news and they still find shit to pick on.

Calm da fuck down guys.....PES 2009 will be one to remember.

^Yeah me too. It's enough for this year to make it the best Pes ever. I prefer the CL to be a seperate mode as it will be more focused and realistic.

2,000,000% in the BAL. They arnt going to give you 15 xbox points for just playing 1 match straight from the main page menu in CL are they. Forget the ML, its not there. Its even called the europian championship confirming its not there. They knew they couldnt include it in the ML so they gave us player moral and negotiation stuff.

They use the word Debut aswell. Massively implying its your solo player's first game in the CL. Its so dam obvious

Yeah, but still.. Champions League would be wasted if it's only playable in a Separate Mode. Personally, if the CL doesn't makes it to the ML -then- for me that's a wasted License.

Playing a separate Champions League mode just isn't appealing to me.. I would like to create my onw team -and- then qualify them for the CL, that's the fun of it.

Though I agree, PES09 is LOOKING great.. but Why should the UEFA Champions League NOT be on the Master league?? There's not a good reason for that, it should be there -and- Konami should now that the first thing that the Fans questioned about the Champions League Was:

Will it be Implemented to the Outdated Master League??

And, will it Inlcude the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal Fully Licensed??

A simple Yes or No from Konami would suffice..

I must admit, that the Champions League being Implemented into the ML Mode sounded to good to be true.. In fact it was too good to be true. Oh well, I guess that will be one of the "New Features" for PES 2010.
