Yes I have! Just read this.

Konami has announced a free PES 2009 update which will include a host of newly licensed teams plus the ability to upload and share replays.

Arriving in approximately three weeks, the free DLC will update Spanish sides Athletico Madrid, Sevilla, Racing Santander and Valladolid, all of whom will be officially licensed. The DLC will also update the UEFA Champions League mode; twelve more teams will be added to the club list, with proper UEFA Champions League kits and kit markings. Amongst these teams will be Marseille, Juventus, and Basel.

A feature sadly missing from PES 2009 was the ability to upload and share replays, but this is something Konami is addressing with the upcoming DLC. A new Theatre of Legends function will allow users to upload replay data for friends to view, and view replays uploaded by others.

"PES 2009 is already a million seller in pre-orders alone, but these new additions show how we are determined to continually improve the content of the game," said Jon Murphy PES European Team Leader. "We hope the updated team data and new UEFA Champions League elements will show our ongoing support for PES 2009's team rosters, and look to continually enhancing such sections in the coming year at no extra cost."

REPLAY UPLOADER!!

Now thats what stands out to me in that statement. PES 09 will be getting further content updates after this one scheduled for November.

i dont know why, but this seems like bullshit to me. why would they release an update with newley licensed teams? surely they would have had the licenses from the begining?

You do we need that? Consoles ain't as complex as PC's, just use Fraps. This allows you to take videos and screenshots. Very handy program to have :)

How about patching the simple option of moving the joypad across to the opposition side when you are playing with your mates in cup or league mode?

Well, I nearly defected to the other side (FIFA) earlier on, but at the end of the day PES just shades it for gameplay, for now.At least FIFA seems to be listening to forum feedback, and integrating new ideas into their gameplay, but it seems as if Konami don't give a fuck anymore. It seems to me that FIFA is going forwards and PES is actually going backwards since next gen consoles came out. Examples:
(1) You can no longer move the joypad across to opposition against your mates in cup or league mode (this single handedly ruins the the game for my mates and me. And yet, how simple is that to include as an option, so bloody frustrating!!!)
(2) Now you can't even set up Konami cup (i.e world cups etc ) and pick the countries or clubs as you like, with fair seeding etc, its just a totally random selection
(3) Even less Licences (though to be fair maybe this is beyond Konami's control)
I'll be buying the PS2 version on Friday, coz it's the better game, ( even though it doesn't have Champions League, (???)and indeed it is a magnificent game. But why after 2 years of next gen consoles is the PS2 version still better? It shouldn't be that way

I was just doing a international cup and yes it randomizes from the beginning but you can move the teams around after or switch ones in and out.

If it's real, any news for the 360 version? I don't see a reason why to leave out the 360 version.
