I'm guessing I'm very late on this. I only recently started playing, but the non-calls and lack of penalties is getting harder and harder to overlook.

I thought I read the latest patch (1.3) was supposed to fix these issues. Maybe I'm wrong on that.

I think it would be well within Konami's interest to do something about it, and on top of that it couldn't be that hard to fix such a small tweak.

Of course maybe I'm wrong on that too. :unsure:

erm i dont know how to say this but it seems pretty fixed now to me? i get most of the fouls called for by the ref im sure they did fix it alot better? but maybe im just lucky and yes i did notice this at first but when the updates came everything seemed proper and fair and have had no problems obviously there have dubious decisions but they are much more realistic now... have you updated your game to the latest patch?

The whole refs not giving a penalty thing is really annoying me now too!

I haven't downloaded the latest patch yet. Quick questions:

Does it really make a difference to the refs?

Will the patch erase all the editing I've done on the game so far?

And do I need to be an Xbox gold member to download the patch?

This tool defends the game like he is defending a member of his own family...Yeah, the refs are attrocious and I have not had a penalty in over 3 seasons of my master league...pathetic.

The only thing they fixed is how often a ref will book guys when he does finally decide to blow the whistle. But there are still too many non calls, especially on harsh tackles.

See I think they can fix this before then without much trouble. You'd think with the World Cup coming up they'd want their game to be as tight as possible.

I've now played 170 games on PES 2010 and I've conceded 4 penalties, which is ridiculous.

What's even more ridiculous is I haven't won a single penalty myself!!! 170 games and not one penalty!!! And I've been blatantly fouled in the box over 10 times! :realmad:

It's funny you should mention an improvement after the patch, i'm halfway through my 3rd season in ML (I've been playing BAL up to now) and I updated to the latest patch on Thursday. I continued my ML yesterday and got 2 penalties in about 12 games!

Maybe it's a complete fluke but we'll see how it goes.

Actually I've been mostly playing BAL. Maybe it's different in ML???

Anyways, in BAL I just had a guy on my team get mauled from the side by a slide tackle in the penalty area, and I was screaming at the game to give a penalty... But no, nothing. :huh: I watched the replay and really it could have gone either way as it looked like he may have gotten the ball first, but still it would've been nice to see it called... For obvious reasons.

Got my first penalty given by the referee! :w00t

It was in BAL mode, for the CPU team, which my keeper promptly saved.

And this is probably close to 75 hours put into the game total, most of which has been played with the latest patch (1.3).

Well, at least I now know they exist, and aren't just some myth.

sorry, ive seen no different before and after i update the latest patch except new balls and shoes. Im playing on PC.

p/s: I awarded no penalty since I'd installed PES 2010 from 23/11 last year. Hundreds of exhibition match, 3 seasons in LEAGUE MODE, 10 seasons in MASTER LEAGUE MODE, 2 seasons in BE A LEGEND but still not even ONE penalty awarded for me.... what more can i say?

To make matters worse, not only are penalties not called, but I keep getting that play where a foul is called just outside the box and the announcer says "And a foul is called is it inside the box?!?!? No... No... Just outside..." :huh:

Finally got a penalty kick awarded to me.

I started a Serie A league and Totti got taken down and given a PK.

The thing I now wonder is: I'm pretty sure all the modes I had going were started before I installed the latest patch (1.03). Does this mean it has no effect on those modes???

Could it be that penalty kicks were in fact addressed, but I just didn't see it because the patch didn't effect the modes I started before installing the patch???

No, the latest patch only adds the things stated by Konami.

It will not erase edited kits or team names, however you will need to register players to created teams and unlicensed national teams.

I wouldn't know as I use a PS3 :) although this is a free dlc so you might be able to download with a regular account.
