Please let me first say that gameplay is king. Without it, nothing matters. Given that this is improved, I would really like the following features to return...
-To be able to play a home- & away exhibition game, this makes playing 1 v 1 or 2 v 2 so much more fun!
- on a much more minor detail: to be able to choose the crowd's size and preference. I want the crowd to be able to go silent when i score an away goal in against a rival.
Just some quick thoughts, need to catch a train now ; )

That is a very good idea. Maybe you could intertwine the effects of both the aggression and mentality when going in for challenges.

Although quite small, aesthetic things, i know that others have voiced this opinion; that the wide camera would be so much enhanced by the option to tilt 1-9 options like PES 6 and before. Also I think the goals nets need a refurbishment ie make them "square" like in real life. Small things I know but they would definitely make a difference to my PES-playing experience and the overall realism. I wonder if they could incorporate these ideas into the game before release date? Any thoughts?

Even better would be a choice of goals. Choose different patterns of grass.

I would like to see the ref giving handball decisions and definitely an option to turn off the cut scenes during a match so that you don't need to constantly keep pressing start because that just slows the game down. Also I think the computer tends to make a lot of silly mistakes with the goalkeepers and that should be looked into.

With the game in it's final stages I don't know whether this will be taken on board. But I feel it is essential and even though posters have mentioned it i will again bang on about it;
The computer selected team need to vary their game it is too predictable and hence you can stop them from scoring as a result this will increase difficulty levels.
To summarise;

Watching some of the videos, it seems that dribbling is still ridiculously easy.
You can hang on to the ball for ages if you wanted. This needs to be rectified. A good balance would be to have something in between FIFA 09 and PES 09's dribbling. The harder the better. With the exception of Ronaldo and Messi, you hardly see players keeping the ball for so long with success.

I everyone,
New user, hope i'm on the right forum and just wanna give some ideias that in my opinion could improve a bit PES series
1. How long have you been playing PES?
A: Since ISS in Arcades (pre historic) and ISS Deluxe for SNES and so on (N64, PS2, PC) until today.
2. What are the aspects that you like most about PES?
A: Gameplay, Game speed.
3. What are the aspects that you don’t like about PES?
A: Dislikes:
- The high Lob just doesn't exist in Pro Evo 2009 (it's almost impossible to do one) comparing with older versions. Can you please make it a bit easyer Konami?
- The goalkeepers in Pro Evo 2009 are a bit weak, even in Top Player (they make impossible saves sometimes, rarely) but almost every time they suffer goals at the middle and thumble the ball very offen. And the difference between Great Goalkeepers like: Buffon, Van der Saar, Schmeichel (Legend) and other less greater G.K. its a bit huge. And in real life isn't that big the gap between a Buffon and a Victor Valdes. Yes Buffon its better then Valdes but no need to put a big gap between them. Thais factor unbalance a little bit the teams. If you know what i mean.
- Why do we need to push 2 times L1 button in manual option when before we only needed to push it once (don´t get it). Now i have to play in semi-auto and the computer always make stupid fouls or penaltys. Bring the old Manual when we only had to push it once.
- The final dislike is Online mode. You need to work on this matter. Of all the PES i've played online the PES 6 was the best one even so could be much better.
4. Requests:
- Comeback of chosing refs (Strict, Soft, etc), maybe real refs and some legend refs like Colina, lol that would be nice;
- Comeback of the option Offside on/off, i used that a lot in ISS vs friends;
- I could say all team licenses you can get (although that would be nice), but in my opinion if you don't have the money or whatever you could easily put all the teams in the World by using the system on PES 6 in wich you had Others Leagues with fake names: Team A, Team B, etc and inside of that teams where German League players we just had to edit league and teams names and one more League was available . So if you can't get German League, Portuguese League, Brazillian League, and few others that would be a good escape i think;
- Other thing is the is a big gap between some teams for example FC Porto has been 2 times UEFA Champions League(1989 and 2003) winner and 2 times Intercontinental winner (last club winning this Cup) and won a 1 UEFA Cup in the last years and even so is a very weak team comparing other clubs. Come on they have very good players almost as good as Ronaldinhos and so (Hulk, Lucho Gonzalez, Lisandro Lopez, Bruno Alves, Helton,etc), Minor Leagues (not just Portuguese clubs) are much inferior then the big clubs and thats just not true (not saying tha all Portuguese clubs or brazillian or dutch are as good) but 2 or 3 or 4 clubs are almost at the same level;
- Instead of removing Legends add every year even more Legends (this is almost my favourite thing in the game just love them) since PES6 i don't see Bobby Charlton, Mario Kempes, Di Stefano, Dzajic, Allen Simonsen, Asprilla, Rivelino, Ravanelli, Gerd Muller, Rummenige, etc) and add some more please and of more Nationalities: Vitor Baia, Paulo Futre, Chalana, Dimas, Oceano, Alfonso, Nadal, Ferrer, Serji Barjuan, Zubizarreta, Prosinecki, Asanovic, Stimac, Popescu, Raducioiu, A. Illie, Panduru,Lupescu, Yekini, Finidi, Babangida, Yeboah, Mathew Le Tissier (Best player ever like Maradona, Pele, Cruijff,, etc) etc etc;
- PLEASe but PLEASE the return of PES Shop, its much more appealling that system to unlock Legends, new balls, Classic Teams, etc. PLEASE.
- Don't see since PES4 All Stars Teams and why?(World, Europe A and B, Asian, African, South American, North American);
- More 3 or 4 Classic Teams (Portugal, Uruguay, Checoslovakia, Hungary, Sweden), why not?;

- Rabona(Changed Foot Shoot) - Kick the ball with a foot behind the other;
- Over Head - Elevates the ball with your foot over your opponent's head;
- Sombrero(heel lift) - Elevates the ball with your heel over your opponent's head.(VERY useful)(Okocha, Djalminha, Ronaldo,etc);

Just to say that i'm not and never was a professional soccer player but play a lot of soccer with friends and i can perform all of this Special
easily, so if I can do it Real Stars do it easyer then me. We could unlock this items in PES Shop like in ISS3 or you just put them freely in the game. Just enlarge the number of players to do all the special moves please.

i liked the demo its good but pls the goalkeepers are still bugged and insert a little more animations to the players i hope plssssssssss konami dont let us down this year i know it was just 70% build the demo and i hope to see more good things in the final version i ve been a fan till ISS pls this lets beat fifa 10 i have hope in you that in the final version will see more gd things

Been playing PES since ISS Pro Evolution (PS1).
These are my concerns:
- Slow reaction time by players.
Makes it near impossible to time dribbles past opponents and also it's impossible to play near the sidelines... very hard to keep player inbounds on certain occasions.
- Too many deflections from keepers.
Even though the new collision system is quite a joy to watch, those rebounded shots occur way to frequently. Even top GKs have an hard time hanging to shots.
- Defender speed limit.
This was a "feature" from PES a few years ago... it had been fixed, and now it's back. How a defender with Puyol's speed can't run faster, when running side by side, than a slow forward like Luca Toni, is beyond my imagination.
That said, I must say the animations are incredible!
They're so close to reality it's even shocking!
Graphics are also top notch, bright lightning effect is a bit exaggerated on the DEMO, but that's easily fixable.
I really hope you can solve those 3 main issues... because if you don't fix them, and for the first time since PES1, I won't be buying your game.

1. the nets should be white combined with the primary color of the home team`s flag/ kit etc...
2. i would like to have the weather changeble during the match automatically. It`s not a rule that if it rains in the first half in the second one should rain too. Or you can make even a transition from rain to clouded to sunny and viceversa
3. when a player taking a freekick hits the wall, i want him to be able to kick again (now it stands for some time until he is able to react) if the ball returns close to him.
4. fans should be devided: fans and ultras. ultras home and ultras away, i want back coregraphy and crowd atmosphere like they were in pes 6 if not better.
5 definately we need more scenes on penalties.
6. Make possible randomly double booking. One for a foul for a player and usually another one for the captain for protests.
7 change the stadiums lights origins. NOT ALL THE STADIUMS have the sunlight coming from the right. It seems like all stadiums are paralel and sunlight only comes from the right side of the field.
8 more corner flags.
9 bring back the picture in picture scenarios
10 put back steaua bucharest in the game. Romania should have 5 teams in the game: 4 in europa league and 1 in champions league.
and that would be all i guess.

love to see trophies. also easier editing on ps3 like in past versions not an option file an 130 kit saves.
Step away from FIFA and come closer to FM
What i have looked for for years in this series is a sort of mixture betwen PES and Fotball Manager.
i dont really care about the looks its about functionality... looks get u EA sports game feel u get from other games. What i think is that if u could get part of what makes FM so great outside the actual games and get part of what makes PES great mixed up it would be a pretty great combo.
PES -needs- to go tactical wich in part theyve started doing, but i mean more individual control outside the matches, and it would giva the A.I more opurtunities to play smarter football.
Master Leauge i think really needs more, just more period... it is fun has been for years but pretty incomplete. if u have a team and u allready have every great player and u always do after a couple of seasons... why not start over somwhere else? Why not make the actual world rankings into default what are the real chanses of de rossi joining river plate or AS Monaco? get us more divisions in master league play involve the diferent leauges and have lower divisions, dosent really have to bee real teams, why not just make teams up with and an apropriate level manager and funding.
It would also be a good thing if u added more atributes, off the ball, positioning u are starting to see were im going right? im sick and tired of watching great stricker make bad decisions on runs when they have a offensive rank of 92 or higher. its dumb im also pretty sick and tired of my defenders tackling forwards in the penalty box for no real reason... can understand it from defenders who are ranked lower or if the had some sort of concentration stat but otherwise its, anoying to say the least, less is usually not more if it is useed right.
if u have a forward with high of the ball but a litle lower in decisions the make runs when the ball is unlikley to be played (as the do now) but smarter players will hold the rund for just a litle whike so that the defender will collect the ball face up and be able ti make a good pass or move away from the defender closing down...
I think that if KONAMI decides to just leave the game engine untouched except for the neccecary changes needed and added more of the managerial stuff it would still be a great game. The ones that want polish and surface can play EA sports.
These are some of the things i have been wondering about for years ever since the CM days in the '90 it might be time for KONAMI and sports interactive to at least talk to each other.

What i have looked for for years in this series is a sort of mixture betwen PES and Fotball Manager.
i dont really care about the looks its about functionality... looks get u EA sports game feel u get from other games. What i think is that if u could get part of what makes FM so great outside the actual games and get part of what makes PES great mixed up it would be a pretty great combo.
PES -needs- to go tactical wich in part theyve started doing, but i mean more individual control outside the matches, and it would giva the A.I more opurtunities to play smarter football.
Master Leauge i think really needs more, just more period... it is fun has been for years but pretty incomplete. if u have a team and u allready have every great player and u always do after a couple of seasons... why not start over somwhere else? Why not make the actual world rankings into default what are the real chanses of de rossi joining river plate or AS Monaco? get us more divisions in master league play involve the diferent leauges and have lower divisions, dosent really have to bee real teams, why not just make teams up with and an apropriate level manager and funding.
It would also be a good thing if u added more atributes, off the ball, positioning u are starting to see were im going right? im sick and tired of watching great stricker make bad decisions on runs when they have a offensive rank of 92 or higher. its dumb im also pretty sick and tired of my defenders tackling forwards in the penalty box for no real reason... can understand it from defenders who are ranked lower or if the had some sort of concentration stat but otherwise its, anoying to say the least, less is usually not more if it is useed right.
if u have a forward with high of the ball but a litle lower in decisions the make runs when the ball is unlikley to be played (as the do now) but smarter players will hold the rund for just a litle whike so that the defender will collect the ball face up and be able ti make a good pass or move away from the defender closing down...
I think that if KONAMI decides to just leave the game engine untouched except for the neccecary changes needed and added more of the managerial stuff it would still be a great game. The ones that want polish and surface can play EA sports.
These are some of the things i have been wondering about for years ever since the CM days in the '90 it might be time for KONAMI and sports interactive to at least talk to each other.
