For those of you interested in purchasing PES 2012 then check out EBay over the next few days because Im selling my copy - I'm so disappointed with this game.

Its the US version of the game which I bought because I couldn't wait for 14th october but I can't live with all the bugs which riddle this game-it's very poor and in my opinion far from being the finished game we were all looking Forward to - it was clearly rushed out to sell same time as FIFA 12.

I will sell on the cheap so keep your eyes peeled for eBay but don't say I didn't warn you. It's crud and I so wanted to enjoy this version.

Thanks for the interest guys, I can't help but think I must be missing something, having read people's personal feelings about the game and then seeing some of the excellent reviews PES 2012 is getting, got 9 in the official PS3 mag.
Maybe I need to give it some more play time over the weekend and decide on Monday. Anyway FIFA 12 arrived in the post this morning so I will also give that a blast and see how it compares but I have found PES to be the winner in past years but this year..........

PESnut, I was going to suggest what you wrote above - give it some time. I wish I had the time to put into it right now, I have been waiting impatiently for weeks for it to arrive and suddenly my schedule gets bogged down and cant' get to. Whaaaa.

Why don't you give it some time man. I did the same last year and regretted it!!. Im sure some of the problems will be sorted out. The uk version not even out yet

Hi dude,
Just give it a shot. I am sure that will end up keeping it. I am a huge fan of PES since 2000 or something. In the beginning you have hard time with the new version of the game. Then when you master the game in both offensive or defensive side, you'll find yourself felt in love with it. I am in USA and have the US version, but I can't wait to have my UK version because I like to play with good players from Europe.

The good thing about the goalkeeper in this version, they are doing awesome with mistakes like the real life. If you manage your defenders, we are good and nobody can even play the ball in side you box.

I am going to sell my copy too.
IMO this game has too many problems.

The super speed at which the game goes alone is enoughto be a game breaker for me. PES 2011 looks more like a real football and I will stick to it till next year.

Hi mate,
you need more time with it. It is awesome. just try to start with regular player then professional, top player and last super start. I mean do not start with top or professional and you want to win. in the real life, there are many problems with teams sometimes defenders' mistakes or goalkeeper even there are attackers mistakes. If you recall Divd Villa when he sent wrong pass to his goalkeeper and the ball was caught be Real Socidad and they scored.

it comes down to preference...

fifa or pes...

but because both games have introduced better ai more with pes

to make it work you MUST GIVE IT MORE TIME IMO

You know what, your probably right, I should give it more time, I was thinking about how I felt when I bought PES 2011 and I remember feeling a bit disappointed and played a few games, left it for about a month and went back and have played and loved it ever since. It's probably just a case of getting use to the new version, I hope.

Have FIFA 12 now as well so will give that a go later and see how it looks but pretty sure I will end up going straight back to PES!

I think the demo I played was good,better than 11 and I thought that demo was good too.
I think 12 will be great.If there are any bugs I reckon they will release a patch.

I am confused how someone can think that PES 2011 is more 'realistic'. The rubber band AI simply destroys any hint of realism, and sometimes the pinball like physics of the ball and scripted goals just trounce it further. I know PES 2012 has some rubber band AI and scripted goals but it isn't as saturated as previous iterations. You can actually defend in this year's game, and furthermore you can actually get behind an opposing defense without them lining up 10 men behind the ball in the box. The defensive system also allows you to counterattack more fluidly.

Its less realistic because its too fast. Thats a fact.
I don't really care about AI mistakes as they are not big enough too spoil the game for me.

I haven't really decided yet but thus far I'm not very impressed by the game, I have had a few more matches but I just can't seem to get hooked the way I have with past PES versions, I'm going to give it a bit more time but unless they issue another patch to deal with the many flaws in this game then yes I will probably sell.
