lol,in all truth it does seem pretty poor but it will only be a problem online,i wont be doing it,and will only play mates online since its online mode sucks,so not aproblem for me,still shoudnt be there

Wow this sucks, and I do not think e-mailing Konami or seabass himself will do it but it is worth a try. I hope they learn about this problem and solve it by the time the U.S. version is released.

Its not just from the halfway it happens, pressing circle on the corner of the 18 yard box, to about halfway power, keeper flaps and it goes in almost every time :0/

But, if you hold R2 and full power cirlce it's always gotta chance of going in. also, print as you shoot so you get a big run up. Pes 2008 is spioled alreayd. Mind you, when I scored my first goal inside my own half I felt mega proud lol

Seems pretty sh1t but since I dont play online it doesnt really bother me that much. Its been said before but, if you dont like it then dont do it. If somebody you're playing starts doing it just quit and find somebody who wont do it.

Have to agree..After playing a lot over weekend online and off I have to say Im very disappointed with this incarnation of my all time favorite game.

IT'S BLOODY AWFUL!!!!!!!!!!

Whats the story with replays etc??Look terrible...Gameplay feels sluggish and unresponsive..It's getting traded in and I'm going back to pes 6.

Yup, been scoring a few like it. Right, that'll be a RED CARD for Seabass and co.

(I think the likely tale of the game causing the system to freeze up will be the excvuse offered)

Scored a few like it.....best way is to use high manual passing and R2.

s'pose it will make a nice antidote from the cut-back lamers.....see...I never play for cut-backs cos I dont enjoy the football that is involved....I do however LOOVVVVEE hitting long distance strikes and I cant stop myself trying these goals.

But yes.....PES2008 ruined already as a competitive 2 player game.....

(even though I knew right away it was gonna be a stinker as far as 2 player game goes)

Gotta stay away from online games unless playing mates....PES is too full of AI flaws (that the devs dont seem interested in fixing) to be playing it serioulsy and sitting having to defend like a tiger against some wee prick who picks Barca/Brazil and tries relentlessly for same old lame exploit shit is only gonna drive you off yer head.

Just because you can score this lob shot thing from ridiculously far out, dont any of you have self restraint!? if you're playing 2 player especially! I have played pes2008 quite a bit now but not once didI or the people I was playing with score either a cut back goal or this lob shot.

I scored 2 in one match, did you read my post? It's a bug plain and simple and just because you don't do it everytime it still happens often, like about 1 in 6 or 7 for me.

Probably because you're using the wrong controller :huh:

Xbox has B and X. It is the button you use to cross with not shoot so however you're set up.

Haven't been able to do it on the PC version yet. I think my technique is good, but it seems like the keeper positions himself in time to catch the ball. Oh well, I'm half glad that I'm not able to do it.

on the pc version i tried time and time again in training mode and you can't fill the gauge to the limit when you are passing forward. when you press O the gauge fills but about 1/10 of the gauge remains unfilled however hard you try, and i think that makes the difference.

You can't do it in training because the keeper never comes outside the area.

Play against the easy computer and let them take the ball into your half. Then watch on the radar till their keeper comes out of the box. Steal the ball and BEFORE the half way line press R2 and hold circle. Bang. 4 out of 5 times it goes in.

I've not scored one on top player yet though, so it could be just against the shitty AI.
