In Game Scenarios and bad referees

Changes to PES2010.

I would love to see them bring back the scenarios that was in one of the previous games. Cant remember which version. Bonus points for anyone that can!!!

The perfect scenario would be Liverpool vs AC Milan. Its half time and your 3-0 down. Can you make the most amazing fight back in history?

Another thing which I desperately want to change in the new Pro Evo is for the referees to be more lenient. I hate the fact that you can get sent off for the most minor of tackles. It drives me nuts!! I think you should be able to adjust the severity of the referee or at least make it more difficult to get sent off. If your the last man and you take someone down, fair enough, off you pop! but not when its a tackle in the middle of the park!!

Whilst I'm ranting I would also like to see them change the way that it changes players automatically when playing. My brother nearly always scores from a corner against me even though I move my defender into the danger near post area, the computer automatically changes it the moment the corner is taken AAARRRGGGHHHH!!!!

Yes. It would be good if they fixed the 2 problem and it would be good if they add the scenario mode to PES 2010.

The scenario thing was in FIFA before, i remeber seeing it in he euro 2004 game or something, dont think itt was ever in PRO.

Tbh it would get pretty boring after you've played them all once but i guess it would give you something extra to do. If it takes up disc space thats needed elsewhere then no.

pes 2 had a master league mode 3 divisions the top 2 both having 16 teams in and the 3rd having 8 teams the top 2 divisions also got put into the same cup so there could of actually been a d2 team win the cup so what do ya all think about that then

I just played a game there a while ago and Gallas got sent off after 10mins for a slide tackle he decided to do all by himself, so that was me then down to 10 men against one of the lads, which for me spoiled the final game of the night.

The person who's idea it was to have this "feature" in the game needs to kill themselves.

Yeah the scenarios were a good way to improve your skills and timing in movement imo but if they added it again and had to make another part of the game suffer i would prefer it to be left out tbh.
Ref's definitely need better AI...thats for certain. Its gotta be obvious to anyone that has played about 2 games of PES2009 because it usually doesnt take long before you find yourself cursing some kinda ridiculous call by the ref one way or the other.
Ive also found you can make a tackle, just miss the player with the ball but still have them go down like you actually caught them(i dont mean dive), then find the ref giving you a card. This actually happened to me again the other day and i checked it by instantly pausing and checking the replay....i was right, i just missed him...i wouldnt have been that bothered but it was a cup match and my players 2nd yellow so he went off for it. What im saying here is that the overall colission detection needs to be improved on too as you can be heavily punished for it being inaccurate at times.
I also know what you mean about your chosen controlled player changing when crosses are struck from corners. It can be very annoying and is certainly something that can punish you without having any reasoning to it. Its stuff like that and also when a player wont jump at all or move in the way you want them to when trying to defend a corner that makes me generally feel like corners are sometimes scripted to either result in a goal or an easier chance to score a goal. This seems to show up more often when playing the CPU too imo.

I think the game your talking about might maybe be Euro 2008(which I own)

A very good game and PES should take a leaf out of its book.

Referees making mistakes is part of football so it should be in the game. But not make it only cheat you not the AI. There needs to be balance.

thats it, international superstar soccer deluxe. loved it.

the ref do need improving dramatically. they are so bloody annoying. getting cards for hardly touching anybody is infuriating and the amount of times the computer AI has decided to make a tackle for me, inside the box which has resulted in my player been sent off and a penalty given. AAARRRGGHHH!!! annoying.

To weird refereeing decisions have baffled me:

1) I just got the game on my new console (I wasnt used to next gen gaming) so I decided in my first gme to test out the diving. So anyway I got the ball with Kyle Lafferty (after his dive against Aberdeen) in Northern Ireland and pressed the dive buttons but he chipped the ball and the referee blew up for a foul and gave me a yellow card! At first it was funny but then it baffled me as I said.:unsure:

2) I had the ball with Carlos Tevez in the box and decided to try and get a penalty but instead of getting a yellow card I got a straight red.:realmad:

Personally i think Konami should get with the program and add achievements/trophies one way or another this time around whether it partly be for scenarios or just completing goals like almost any other game out these days. On PES2009 they have achievements but they arent anything to do with PS3 trophies and i dont even think it notifies you when you've completed one either which i thought was a bit pointless and behind the times. Funny thing is that im not that bothered about the trophies for my online tag thing like some are. Its more about my opinion of them needing to keep up with the general direction of gaming. So many games are starting to have these achievements and trophies now so it would be a good step forward imo.
