On my most recent Become a Legend save, I play a Swedish striker and thus, naturally, I got to play for the Swedish national team.
When I got there, I saw some very interesting and not very expected names in the starting line-ups/bench.
So, the reason for this topic - Ever saw a player in your national team on BAL that you totally did not expect seeing there?
I can list a few, from previous BALs aswell.
When I played for France (twice), Laurent Bonnart (Marseille) who has never played for France, became captain on both saves.
Whenever I play for England, Freddy Sears (West Ham) has a tendency to become the top striker very early on. Jack Wilshere also started in the 2010 World Cup which made me smile a little.
And now that I play for Sweden, just about half of the players in the team today are there. For instance, Jose Monteiro (Hammarby IF) and Gabriel Özkan (AIK) both played in the World Cup. As did Louay Chanko. Rasmus Lindgren is the constant first choice DMF and the oldies Mellberg, Majstorovic and Hansson got swapped out for Jonas Olsson, Per Nilsson and Andreas Granqvist.
I realize that just namedropping will make a lot of people scratch their heads, especially if the country isn't that big but it's interesting to see how different PES is from reality when it comes to the National teams.
