International Cup, ie World Cup????

I'm kind of new to PES 15 so bear with me. Also, I did a search and could not find an answer, which is why I started a new thread.

I was trying to set up a tournament similar to the World Cup, which I have been able to to on the kids Wii with PES 13. It appears that you can only set up a single elimination tournament or a group play tournament with home/away matches. We have XBox 360 if that matters.

Also, I did not see an option where you could set up the number of teams (say, 32 of them) and number of groups.

I find this very disappointing. Am I missing something or did Konami eliminate this? If anyone knows a way to set up a proper WC tourney, please, I'm all ears.

Do you mean can you set up a qualifying round also for the World Cup itself? If so, no.

If you meant is there a World Cup, yes there is. The World Cup is there in the main menu under Competition->Cup. You can select the World Cup there. Also, there is the Konami Cup at the bottom of that list. Its more customisable than the World Cup. You can choose the number of teams you want, 8 min - 32 max, groups stages or just knockout stages and whether teams play each other once, or home and away except the final(which you can also play home and away with a third option). Is that what your lookin for?

it`s really retarded that the minimum players is 8 on a custom cup, what are these guys from konami smoking? same for league :no:

i miss the old days where you could play cup or league with some mates, that was magic. nowadays it`s just stupid

oh yes i forgot they don't give a fu-k about offline gamers we are a dying breed

Thanks guys. Yes, I found it. But I also found another problem. Can you choose the teams you want in the WC? I haven't been able to figure out how to do it. With PES13, it was very intuitive and easy to set up. I started to set up my WC, choosing USA, and the rest of the field was randomized. So instead of having Germany, England, Belgium, and Spain, I get UAE, Latvia, and Uzbekistan. I'm sure those are fine countries, but as football nations, not so much.

Yes, you can. In the early stages of setting up the WC, you get to a screen where all the groups are displayed. It'll have an "ok" button at the bottom of it. Just push your stick up to the team you want to substitute for another and press 'Y',(it shows it means update at the bottom of the screen after you start moving it up from the 'ok' onscreen button). When you get to the screen of selecting another team, some maybe blanked out. Thats because of the rules of not having so many countries from the one continent in the same group, so be aware of that. I don't know the exact rules but if teams can't be selected its because of official rules about having too many teams from the same continent.

Yeah I missed the old days tried to set up a little league for me and my mates but the minimum is to high you used to be able to set up a league with 5 people and play each other 10x if you wanted and also choose the fixtures
