Is it me or does 2011 feel better?

In 2011 players felt like individuals, Messi and Ronaldo had pretty much equal stats but they both felt completely different but the were both fast and skilful, compared to the average player they were awesome, you could really feel the difference.

In this demo however it seems like everyone feels the same and arcady.
The movement is very fluid and it's got some nice animations but they are moving so quick and like they are all on red arrows. I hate to have to slow down the gameplay that annoys me cos what if someone doesn't play on that speed, I like getting used to neutral default speed.

I thought it was awesome at first, but after more plays its starting to feel dodgy. It's starting to feel closer to the 2009 2010 shitty versions with the fast paced movement, not really feeling this.

As I stated many times already, the stats have less difference than they did in 2011, theres less difference between players as a result.

Even defenders feel agile and have good ball control and close control.

If you fix the unresponsiveness from PES 2011 and make players feel smooth and react and turn faster and smoother it almost looks like a better game than 2012 tbh...

i have thesame but i played only 1 match. I can remember i never was really enthousiastic about any pesdemo before.. Pes2011 took me months to master now i love it... Pes2012 will be thesame hopefully.. Otherwise the marketing machine of Konami is almost better than apple..

The catchup issue in 2011 was the biggest game breaker I have ever seen in a game. By that I mean that, what was so close to being a GREAT game, was unplayable for me.

I agree with you.
Arcady feeling (fast players, good dribling, fast game speed overall) is really bothering me.

That said though, The interesting thing is I like each PES more as I play it more and appreciate it fully only after maybe 3 months. Hopefully this one is like that.

Anyone that thinks PES11 is better must be smoking crystal meth. PES11 is utter sshit compared to PES12. The only people that dislike the game are the same people who abuse stats in PES and use superteams online...

I am glad that KONAMI shoved this up their asses. No more RUN RUN RUN with Messi and Ronaldo. Learn how to play proper football or GTFO

I cannot say if 2011 was better or not, but to say that it was a slower paced game is just totally not true. Pes 12 is slower than pes 11. Both at 0.

Yes, pes 11's dribbling defined players better, but what about other factors?

Passing in 11 was too easy, in pes 12, the passing has more individuality. This is just one example.

However, I completely agree that pes 11 defined dribblers better. The thing with pes 11 that I didn't like was the catch up bug that made the close control useless.

I think what was wrong with PES 2011 was for example the ball would be bouncing to the touch line and you would have about 4-5 meters distance in which a high schooler could control the ball and yet professional multimillionaire footballers would lose control and the ball would go out of play. this year you do not have that happen as often but I would like the crappy players or defenders to lose some dribbling ability they have right now (except obvs in cases where the defender is sick wicked and nasty at dribbling lol)

I haven't really had much chance to play the demo yet but if players have lost their individuality in 2012 then this will really bother me too, this for me is what sets PES apart from FIFA.
Just a thought and I know it's a pain in the backside but is their a particular stat for let's say the top 50 players in the world we can alter that would clearly set them apart from the rest?

Just a thought.

Individuality is not lost at all.Yes the close control thing was better in pes 11. But remember that pes 11 had many things that made it loose individuality in other aspects.

Let me mentions some.
Passing- overpowered through balls

Ball curve, everyone curved it the same way. In pes 12, this is different as the ball curl differently.

tackling - not enough difference between an attackers tackle and a defender's one. In pes 12, this is much more evident as a good defender's tackle is the key to a successful tackle and you will feel it too.

speed - defenders outrunning attackers, yes pes 12 has it in reverse,
BUT, you can sometimes catch up to him. HOW? Go into open spaces and do not hold X. just free run, and you might catch him. Though it does need fixing.

Crosses and positioning. They were not good in pes 11 especially the positioning. So in this aspect, there was no individuality.

So yeah, pes 11 wasn't without it's faults was it. And just because pes 12 has the close control thing, where there isn't ENOUGH difference between dribblers, pes 12 also improved individuality in other aspects where pes 11 failed to do.

SO PLEASE KONAMI, FIX THE CLOSE CONTROL ISSUE and make more difference between the players and THEN PES 12 WILL BE AWESOME.

i totally agree mate, the crossing is much better in pes 12. it's very realistic. also they do not hit the ball 50 miles away from the the attacker in the box.
