Is Pes 2015 really better than Pes 13

I think they are saying the game-play is much better, indirectly of course. What else could they judge as that's the only content the demo offers.

I have been a bit gutted with pro evo 2015 on ps4 still feels like it's slowish and can't get tuned into the game as much as with pes 2013.

Pro evo 2015 looks good but it's the gameplay that needs to be a bit faster and think it lags a lot and finding the skills a lot harder to use in the demo .

Sorry, my bad. I just assumed because you posted straight after me and I thought you were trying to quote me when you said "it's so much better".

No worries :)

I've just been through enough disastrous PES releases that I can't get excited for PES 2015. 2014 was the last straw for me.

Was tempted to make the jump to the PS4 this month but I don't actually see myself playing PES any more.

Just about all my friends have already made the jump to FIFA - I don't particularly like FIFA either.

I think my footballing gaming days may be numbered

I've felt like that a few times but we can hope mate. That's the frustrating thing about PES, it could be so so good. Let's just see what they come up with. I'm still excited despite so many disappointments! Like you though, before I part with my cash, Ill be looking at reviews and videos of the game so I know exactly what I'm buying.

If the editing had been as good as 13, I'd be all over an Xbox One copy. As it is, I think I'm just gonna buy a cheap copy of 13 as I still have my save.

I had the pleasure of playing 4 matches last night, and it's looking very promising so far. It feels like PES again.
The shooting and goalkeepers are vastly improved over the demo. AI defender movement seems to be better as well.

I'm curious about the shooting. I thought all shots felt a little samey in the demo. Whats changed about it, if ya don't mind me askin?

They're much more pronounced. A hard shot flies into the net, curled shots bend like a banana. In the demo it seemed like you were playing with a volleyball. Shots might actually be too good now, but I'll have to play more to find out. All I know right now is that they're satisfying, varied and intuitive.

I have played FIFA for the last few years. The previous FIFA14 and current FIFA15 are just awful. So i am switching to PES, i thought the Demo was brilliant and required skill rather than the games dictating the outcome. I get PES15 today and hoping the online version is the same as the offline demo.

If it is i will certainly stay with PES and ditch FIFA for good, i think due to the poor release of FIFA 14 and 15, PES have a golden chance of once again becoming the Number1 football game.

Today is the day of reckoning

Yes

after playing the game extensively, IMO, the answer is most definitely yes. In almost every department Pes 15 is better than Pes 2013. I may even stretch to say the PS3 version is arguably the best football game of all time!

I am not agreed with most of the people here. PES 2015 is better in some features on the the level of an individual player, however PES 2013 provides a much much better gaming experience, because you can play better as a team in that game. Passes and shots happen when you press the button and instantly in that very moment, no lag, no unnecessary touches just makes the action in the very moment when you desire it, not seconds later like PES 2015. So despite being more of a mechanical game, I enjoy playing PES 2013 more, a lot more, rather than cursing PES 2015 of giving away the ball and conceding a goal, due to my player was unable to make a pass in time, or even make a simple turn, and behaving like a sloth. In PES 2015 you are unable to make quick moves, sudden motions, whereas in PES 2013 everything happens with at least the same speed as in real life, but mostly faster, which is acceptable. In PES 2015 everything happens maximum at the same speed as in real life but mostly slower and that is unacceptable for me.

Its interesting, since I had the same dilemma. Before buying PES 15 I checked the current prices for PES 13 and was not sure what should I do. The main reason was as someone already mentioned all the fun stuff that was there. Stadium CREATOR, importing faces + lots of editing which I trully miss in PES 15. Even only a stadium creator in our situation right now, would be the saviour. And not just that, in PES 13 you could add various adds, ML presentation was really cool, all the player presentation when you buy it, you as a manager sitting by table and talking about club or while surfing in menus, you see your players in training ground. All these little details are so fun and makes difference. Also you had these confetti on the pitch when playing in Argentina. Surely, back then, Konami had some people in theyr team, company, that knew how to make game much more fun, that knew what people would really like and what would help to lift game to another level as far as presentation, licensing is concerned. I mean us PES fans know really well what licensing problems do to the game and invent thing like stadium creator was very helpful. They could`ve moved to the same direction, adding at least 9-10 fake leagues or adding even unlimited amount of them so all of us can create any league that we want. Now they have 3 leagues (two of them not European) and ability to use them in ML... Maybe after some years they will figure out that its not enough. Anyway, back on topic, besides all the fun stuff you could do in PES 13, there were things that stopped me buying it. And one of the main reasons was goalkeepers, who movemed really weird in PES 13. Sometimes they would jump as a thrown potato sack. Now, back then, I would`ve just enjoyed of what I have, but when I played PES 15 it really kind of changed my mind. And there were lots of other things that makes PES 13 just outdated, so despite very limited editing in PES 15, the gameplay still wins. It really reminds old good PES 5/6 days, there are some elements still missing, but with more games and some times, PES 15 really becomes some kind of revelation. There needs to be lots and lots of work to be done in future, but the basics are really good so far.

PES 13 does feel dated compared to 15. It was like a throw back to PES 5/6 which was great but felt very arcadey compared to 15.

Editing was great in 13 but the stadium editor on PS3 was over rated for me as the lighting in day matches was awful and I struggled to play full season in them because of it.

In terms of response times, I feel they are just fine. I can shot exactly how I please, it all depends on how the player has his feet planted just like really life. For example, if I'm through on goal and decide to toe prode the ball under the keeper at the last second I can do that pretty much instantly or if want a long measured shot from distance it works well also. It obviously takes a slightly longer time from pressing the button to the ball leaving the players foot but he has to draw his foot back to strike with power.

Instant response times all the time would make the shooting horrible for me. I'm really happy with the game this year, it's miles ahead of what Konami have ever produced. IMO

PES15 you can go round a man using just pace aswel, like PES6, that was really lacking in PES3 for me.

PES 2015 is the better game definitely (Best PES game IMO) and can't be compared with PES 2013 in terms of game play, players individuality/identity etc. PES 2013 had more stadiums and more editing options though

While I do think PES 2015 is overal a more evolved game, it still is far from the polished game PES 2013 was.

And those little things add up. Especially considering game breaking bugs like the ridiculous stamina.
Right now, and until all the major issues are sorted, I still think PES 2013 is the superior game.

PES2013 was broken because players without skills could spam with long :triangle: That messed up the whole game

There is a lack of 360 degree controls in 13 aswell, which really limited the game compared to 15, especially if you want to dribble with just a change of direction and pace control without tricks. Fifa had 360 controls in 10 or possibly even 9, ridiculous how long it took Konami to catch up until 14.
