I prefer FIFA 08 now, I've always been a PES guy, this year sucks imo

yup mate. i must say that PES2008 is far from i expected.
the graphic quality is awesome, but there are a lot of drawbacks.
I can't sense the feel of 'PES soul' in PES2008.
Replays are sucks.
Gameplay is sucks. too easy to score, even in top player mode with me using low level team vs AI using top level team.
I think KONAMI tried to imitate FIFA gameplay, whereas in fact they did't realize that PES series is sooo far better than FIFA.

It is much easier to score in the latest game, more so than for the past 3 or 4 versions - but people complaining about this will lead to the keepers become supermen in the next version and then people will have to resort to cut-backs again! Where's the middle ground?? There are too many sweet spots in this version.
The AI is awful and it so obviously cheats in this version that anyone who claims otherwise cannot argue any more. Even using supercancel, your players will swerve off course to allow the AI players to get the ball first, bad player switching, especially in defence. It's just not fun to play any more.

i sadly have to agree, it seems to me that the only people who like pes08 is fifa fans as stupid as it sounds, all true true PES fans notice that this game is a total let down compaired to previous editions, i mean if i wanted to play crappy fifa id play crappy fifa whats the point in playing this pes08 when its crap atleast with fifa you get the sponsers ohhhh the pain! lol my advice is do what ive done stick to PES6
