Yes. You can see the one that works on a CDR in the guide posted in the General Editing section. Unfortunately, the latest version of jb's patch wouldn't work on CDR for me but the one previous did.

it has a mixture of chants, old & new. really it does, because when i play brazil, the crowd started with "brazil, (drum beats), brazil" which is the old one. then later a newer chant.

Yeah I know what chants are on the patch, I have it.

But I wanted to know how difficult to be to remove them as they are repetitive and frankly just annoying.

but the guide posted in general editing is for DVD only...
That is the sticky. The other guide thread isn't a sticky. Check the index thread to find a link for it.

I agree about the repetitive chants. I play with no sound these days.

ok! let me get this right. i use dvd decrypter to get the image from the game, i then open ppfomatic, open the image i have just created, open jb30.10.04pes4.ppf and apply. once this patch has been applied, still using ppfomatc, i open up the image which has just been patched, open up jb30.10to17.11pes4.ppf and apply again. once this second patch has been applied i then open up nero and burn the patched image at x1.
I hope i have done something wrong because i have done all of the above and i only get a disc error message on my ps2.
please help......ANYONE!!!!

my ps2 is chipped, i've tried every variation i can think of and wasted about a dozen dvds in the process. i,ve extracted the image using dvd decrypter and burned it without the patch and it works fine but as soon as i add the patch it doesn't work, i even tried just patching jb30.10.04 itself onto the image and still nothing. its just my fookin luck i think. if anyone has any ideas i can try your advice would be appreciated

Make sure you are patching a fresh and clean image of the game when you start. Delete the image you have now and extract it again using dvd decryptor. Then apply the patche(s) and burn.

i have the same problem as "stuartdunlop", but i am using the Westackyfull.ppf . I have tried to patch pes4 just as you said in your guide, a number of times, and everytime the same thing: The game starts, i choose language, then it freezes...could it be the patch? if it is, could you PLEASE give me a few links to the Jonboyo's patch, 'cos all the ones i've tried here are broken, including yours in the "guide..." post.
My PS2 is modded with a Mars 3 chip, and it is 2 months old so there shouldn't be any laser problems...dvd's were burnt at 2x...and the dvd that i use for image is a pirate copy, but still i can burn the unpatched image to another dvd without any problems...what do you think is going wrong here??

AT LAST!!!!!!!! got it to work woooohooooo and boy it looks and sounds outstanding. the problem i was having trying to get it to work turned out to be the speed i was burning it at, i was burning it too slow. my dvds were 8x and i was burning it at 1x. i eventualy decided to try it at 4x and it worked a treat I'M DELIGHTED. just a quick couple of questions though, how do you choose the type of ball you use ( i wanna try that yellow one) and is there a patch like this 1 except with all the correct player names?

you must buy the remaining balls in the PES shop, i think its 3000 PES points.

ok one quick question. im about to patch my extracted image but i want to know if "jb30.10to17.11&databaseupdate.rar" that says database update is other word for OPTION FILE. I only have about 500PES points! so its ok to apply that patch after the jb30.10.04 ? I dont care if i lose the Points, just want to know if that already contains the same thing as one of the latest OPTION FILES!

Thanks in advance. :D

It's best to use the pesfan option file modified to be used with the patched version as the team and player info will be more up to date.
