Just bought my Sporting Lisbon team a new, young keeper. He has a much better development curve than Ricardo, whom he is meant to replace. He also has better reflex, jump, and so on than the old-timer. However, his GK rating is only 55 compared to 70+ for Ricardo. In spite of his other, higher ratings, do you think I should hold off giving him a regular 1st team place until he has trained a bit and improved his GK rating? Is he likely to be a liability as he is until that rating improves?

He wont get any better if you dont play him. I suggest play him anyway, if most of the stats are better then Ricardo's it should be ok.
