Keeping Players Happy

I've just started playing PES2010 Master League, having spent a large amount of my time online and playing exhibitions. To be honest apart from minor tweaks I feel the gameplay and management needs I'm enjoying the experience on the whole.

Enjoying it more it seems than a few of my players. Who constantly seem to be unhappy about being played out of position even though I've edited the lineup to incorporate their positions. Also, as I'm Arsenal, Van Persie is played almost constantly yet I've started giving him breaks or sub him late or early depending on the tie, yet he states he's unhappy. I've already lost Rosicky for four months and knowing Van the Man's fitness levels I'm surely going to lose him too.

How do you guys manage the above issues ? I want a happy dressing room

Nice one man, I'll try that out later. At the end of the day no one man's bigger than the club lol.

Peace !

Usually they will stop bickering if you give them a bit of game time. I tend to let them start the next game (if possible) and that sorts them out... then they go back to sitting on the bench :)

I always sell the prima donnas, regardless of quality. Flipped Albrighton (94) and Pebblegarth (93) because of their whining. At least I got massive cash for them. They both had full loyalty, though, so I don't get why they were so petulant. Is there a secret "Sensitive Sally" stat somewhere?

Play them until their hearts are full and flashing, then they seem to stay happy for me even if they aren't playing.

I think he was ~25 and still improving when I sold him. However, I started my ML before the last two updates, which definitely messed with Villa's squad, so I don't know what his development is like now.

Is it normal that some of the players' "frown meter" will be slightly filled? Without filled enough to merit that "frown icon"?

The majority of my players (except the midfielders for some reason) have their meter filled up just a bit. A few has about a third. It's confusing! If I don't play them, they ask for chances, if I do, they say they need a break.

Yeah, my backline moans constantly; either "because he doesn't get enough chances" if not played or "out of pace" if played.

Never had that ever!!! Do you play the same back 4 all the time? I'm quite disappointed my guys don't moan :(

Loyalty? Have I missed something?

Oh ok - the hearts. I thought of it as "happiness", or "contentment".

Increase it by playing the player. Best way though is to win trophies.

It goes down if you bench or transfer list them.
