you can indeed. apparantley, the best patches are for we7, but i dont think its a major difference.

anyway, of course there are patches for PES3, checking the editing section would be a good point to start ;)
But there are more patches available for WE7. Actually only jonboyo is making patches for PES, so if he gets bored of making patches the PES players would have a problem :p

Yes, but most of the people with a chipped console play WE7, and you need a chipped console to play a patched game ;)
When you compare the amount of WE and PES players you can only count the people with a chipped console.

I don´t think I´m going to make a PES-patch, coz I think that WE is far better :p
But I would make a patch for PES if I had the time, not for playing it, just for the glory :p

I`d say PES series are only popular in Europe, especially England, while WE series are being played worldwide - I know I`m right on this one. Why do you think the best patches are made only for WE7 :p .. not because WE7 is on CD-R format, it`s because WE7 is better than PES3. And Jag87 said something about playing imported games with several different methods/tricks..well those methods/tricks are bullshit...Everyday someone`s complaining about those tricks - especially knife trick etc.. that`s why 95% of people have their PS2 modded with a modchip.. so if you wanna play PES3 inside Europe you`re all set you don`t need a modchip since it`s PAL but most people who wanna play patched games / including WE series since it`s NTSC-J must do something to their PS2..

WE7:I will walk all over PES3 and I`m 100% sure about this..

matey i've got a slidecard and have had it for 5 months!!!!!!

so count me as the 5% that has taken the more reliable way instead of opening up my ps2 and risking it's life!!!!!!!!

Mate, I think you're wrong here. Yes, PES3 is PAL but playing a patched version requires the same setup as WE7. Everyone who wants to patch PES3 can just spend under half an hour ripping their DVD so that it fits onto CDR. There's no real difficulty in it.
I am still waiting for a WE7 patch with a proper and complete translation in English which makes sense fully. Once the translation was nearly complete, people just left it as it is and some bits don't look very good.

Both games are good. I don't see much of a difference. There is only one thing that makes me play PES3 more than WE7 and that's the national league competition.

btw Zyg, which problems do you have with the translation ? Are the 4 spanish words in there so confusing :confused: (there are indeed 4 spanish words in the Fernando translation patch ;) )
And Eksol, please don´t make a PES vs. WE battle out of this thread (use the other one :p)
